I have been blessed with an ample amount in the upstairs department. It was fun until I hit 40. Unfortunately, things they are a changing, and and I need to accommodate my altered figure with a sturdier bra in my swimsuit. Can't seem to find a suit that has anything more than those wimpy foam cups.

Has anyone ever put tougher stuff in a swimsuit bra? I don't mind stitching up my own suit, or adjusting a store-bought one, but I want to hear from those of you who've "been there, done that" first.

Thanks...and everyone at the beach will thank you later....!

On another discussion board (patternreview Ithink) some time ago someone described putting a purchase underwire bra into swimsuit or sun dress.
Sounded like a pretty good option to me

The following are instructions on how to insert bra into bathing suits.

These are soft cups but you can buy underwires in notion departments and could insert with them. I don't have quite your problem, but age is doing it's best to give me thicker thighs!

I wonder if underwiring would help for butt sag??? (just kidding!)

I read a letter from a little old man who needed some butt padding in case of falls so he used women's butt build up underwear (like a girdle). I have actually considered it. But am afraid if someone saw me with a perky little behind they may expect other perky behaviour which I may not be up to.

I can imagine the reaction to an ER staff member with a little old man coming in with butt padding!

Ya'll crack me up!

I am considering a steel cage instead of underwires, but afraid it might rust from the chlorine. But man, I live in Texas and I gotta have a sturdy swimsuit!
