HI, just a quick question. Yesterday when my friend and I were out and about, we saw some really cute terry cloth wraps made out of towels. They had elastic around one end and then a velcro closure and some embellishments. I was thinking of making a one for my teenager and my 2 nieces in AZ before we go out in June. Do any of you know which towels are the best and hold up better? I think they looked relatively easy to make. My friend sews as well and we thought we might give them a try. Also, a cute idea my friend had for her 2 elementary school age daughters for their Easter baskets I wanted to share--her daughters are little mommies in training. She has a 1 yr old little boy and the girls love to help take care of him but they also enjoy helping clean the house..SO--instead of the normal candy, eggs, etc, she made them both little aprons and dust clothes and had their names monogrammed on them..WAYYY cute! I wouldn't have ever thought about that. She embellished them with gross grain polka dotted ribbon and the dust clothes match the aprons and each are done in a different color (you know you have to do things differently for 2 daughters so they won't be exactly the same.) Just thought I'd share that idea for those of you looking for cutesy ideas for little girl's Easter basket. I wrote it down in my pattern notebook for future reference.. Julie

My girls would have kicked me in the knee if I gave them cleaning stuff for Easter or anytime as a gift. Dorothy |

My parents used to give us clothes (a shirt, skirt or sweater - nothing big) for Easter. My dad thought it was crazy to spend $$ for candy, etc only to pay for it (again) at the dentist's office. When all my friend's candy was gone I still had my Easter gift.

I wouldv'e had a screaming fit at my mother probably if I'd gotton an apron and dust cloth for Easter (give me the candy and toys!) However, with that said, her little girls LOVE to clean--they always want to help out with cooking and cleaning so it's the perfect little gift. She actually had to get them pampered chef aprons when they saw them at an exhibit! The aprons were plan with a gross grain trim and their names monogrammed. Just cute as they could be. Julie
