So I was just wondering how everyone's weekend was?? Ours was busy and I'm paying for it today (but fun!) Saturday we went down to Alabama and spent the day. My brother and family were home and we celebrated my Daddy's b'day. It was late when we got home but had a great time. Yesterday we had church (had a big crowd in our Sunday School class since GA spring break ended) and yesterday afternoon was the Easter egg hunt our church has. It was so much fun! It was out in the country at a couple's house that is the prettiest place I have ever been in my life..a big Southern mansion literally with gorgeous courtyards and flowers everywhere..then in the back is a kid size dollhouse, swings, slide n boards, a sandbox, horses, etc. The Easter Bunny was there and Sarah chased him all around. They had different activities for the kids but she went back and forth between the sandbox and swings, to the electric bubble blower they had and then over to the balloon table and back and forth! We were POOPED! Sarah did really good gathering up Easter Eggs. She hit a fit when they brought out the pony! We had hamburgers/hotdogs and they had a volleyball net and badmitten net up so that was fun. She ran around like a wild child and played with the other little one's. Needless to say we were all exhausted when we got home but I had tons of stuff to get done so it wasn't as early as an evening as I'd hoped! I'll try to get some pictures up on my website when I get home later. Julie

We didn't do much. We did go to an afternoon movie -- The Libertine -- it was ok, nothing spectacular. I did get some sewing done. Dorothy |

Dorothy--I got NO sewing done ..I was so bummed too but hopefully this week I'll get back to it. Back before Christmas, I started some little pastel pouches made out of felt for my kids at Sunday School and ended up doing something else for them. I'm thinking about finishing them up with a drawstring and filling with goodies and giving them to them for Easter. I deliberately picked out non-holiday looking felt b/c I knew they'd get all kinds of themed stuff --good thing is I can use them anytime of the year. Wednesday (I hope) is going to be my sewing day. My friend is coming over and bring her machine and we'll sew while the babies play. I am looking forward to it as we haven't been able to have a sewing day for some time. Julie

I forgot about Easter...so I spent all day sat, looking for Easter gifts for my sister. Now I have to get them shipped off...my sense of time has gotten screwed up this past yr or so and I'm always behind. (I'm usually always early)..oh well...at least I got her something...(and her little dog too...) And we were looking for a new tea kettle...(since I have bad tea kettle karma according to my sister....) it's become a chore to find one I like and works well....(has to be red, has to be 'plain', has to be sturdy...has to fit in with my Asian decor..hahahahahahahaha....) Sunday we went to the commissary...not a chore I like...but for some strange reason we need food.... Chrys

Chrys do you shop the commissary often? I go out there every now and then depending on what I need. Post is 20 minutes or so from my house and there's a public and winn dixie near by so it's often too tempting to just run there. When I do mega shopping, I do go to the commissary although I try to avoid the 1st of the month like the plague. I have been to the one down there actually and the PX is very nice. It's alot bigger than ours. My cousin was stationed at Eglin (assuming that's the one you use) until he retired and they remained in FWB. It's a pretty base. I guess AF is called base, right? Julie
