Jimmy and Happi took me on a wonderful weekend trip to Natchez, Ms. We had a ball, looking at Indian mounds, pre-civil war houses, an Indian village. We ate at some fabulous expensive places. Jimmy paid for all, it was a treat for me. got me a "Knock-you-naked Margarita."
On the way home, 22 miles the other side of Meridian Mississippi, we had a blow out. It took out the computer so Jimmy had no steering or brakes. This thing weighed 40,000 pounds, and we travelled 200 yards, flipping from one side to the other. Happi got slung up under the dash, and when it stopped, she was lying on the windshield. It is the hand of God that kept her from flying out and being run over by that coach. Jimmy stayed in the seat, still trying to keep it from crossing the median into oncoming traffic. I rolled and tumbled all over the back, banging into God knows what. I couldn't find anything to grab, I had my eyes squinched shut, afraid of damage.
At one point, I felt hair, I knew it wasn't long enough for Happi or Sophie, the Yorkie. I knew it was probably Hector, the chihuahua, so I grabbed it and tucked it up against me, and that's probably what kept him from breaking a leg.
When it stopped, Sophie took off down the middle of the interstate, Jimmy took off after her, and Happi took off after them. I was lying on the side window, and got up on my knees trying to orient myself. I knew what had happened, but not where I was. Jimmy saw me lying there and thought I was dead. He asked me if I was okay, and I just grunted. then, I got up and walked out through the windshield. Across a ditch, across glass, pine cones, in nothing but a pair of socks, and don't remember it. And no cuts.
I had a huge knot come up on my thigh, hard, and the ambulance driver said that was a sign of a broken leg. It finally went from my knee to my waist, and now it is going all the way around. The doc at the hospital said it was s sign of a broken hip, and I told them I rebuked that statement, that the Lord wouldn't let me have any broken bones. They x-rayed me from head to toe, and none were broken!! The techs couldn't tell me, but one lady leaned over and said "you were very fortunate" so I knew.
Jimmy is black from the knees down, and Happi's back is killing her, as is mine, but they have nothing broken, either. I am having lots of trouble sitting down, when you see these pics, you'll see why. I have the same bruises all over my shoulders, back, both elbows cut, so I can't even lay on my stomach and read.
The thing went over on the left side, onto the top, back to the left side, onto the wheels, and finally onto the right side. And all the while I was rolling and tumbling.
I went and picked out new glasses today, mine are on the interstate near Meridian. and Jimmy said to get what I wanted, so I got pretty ones. Then, we had to go to Wally world and get me some knit shorts so they would be loose on my leg, it is swelled horribly.
I just feel so sorry for Jimmy and Happi, they just wanted to give me a good weekend because of me and Gary splitting up, and they did. then, this had to happen.
But I give The Lord the praise and the glory for saving us, we defeated satan one more time. Happi told the state trooper the only reason we survived was because they had the church lady with them, lol. All the people that stopped were so kind, giving us water, and one vet stopped after I left in the ambulance, and examined Happi's dogs, I thought that was so nice. She said one trucker came up and asked her if her "babies" were okay. And one trucker stopped traffic until the trooper got there.
Me and the ambulance driver laughed and joked all the way to the hospital, 22 miles. He said if my sense of Humor was okay, my head should be. It was either laugh or cry.
Well, I gotta go get off my butt. You guys thank god you don't have to go through anything like this, it was a Stephen King experience!!
The driver asked me if I walked out of it, I said, "are you kiddin'?. I wasn't staying in that thing, with a full tank of diesel." Jimmy haad just filled up.
Praise the Lord for me,
reattha

Happi is my sister, Jimmy is her ex. Wish I could figure out how to post a pic, so you could see my leg. It is black rom the knee to my waist, and all the way around. Every where you touch me is a briuse, severe. but thank God no broken bones, and we all survivrd.

Rea, what a scary experience! I'm so glad you all are OK. I know all of you are hurting from head to toe but that will go away, the main thing is you are all alive and well. Amazing how people will pitch in when needed, isn't it. Will keep you all in my prayers.

Praise God everyone is OK!
I too had been involved in a rollover (barrel rolled many times). The EMS and police officer said that most rollovers like that people don't walk away from. I crawled out of the driver side window without a scratch. It was a miracle.

Rea..we're so glad you're Ok. I've seen LOTS of roll overs on the highways down here...you ARE lucky....
What a scary thing. I've had a blow out....but it was in a small car and it was the back wheel. (on a front wheel drive car) It was easy to control...thank heavens..

Oh, Dear. When I started to read your post, and it began with a "knock you naked Margarita," I wondered what could be so bad... Well, you do have a way of starting and ending your stories on a high note! Five living beings got into the car, and five living beings came out. I am so glad for you that the injuries weren't more severe. I hope that you can get some rest and recover well.

Rea, How are you doing? Hope that the healing process is coming along alright.
How is everyone else that was with you doing? What about the animals?

Must have been on the same wavelength tonight as I came on site to ask the very same question.
