Well, my daughter -- the older one -- and I went shopping for her wedding dress fabric. Since they are planning to elope it won't be too formal. She chose a pale silver satin. It will be three piece -- a tiered skirt, maybe mid calf length or shorter with a strapless top and a mauve organza capelet. Her only concern is the mauve might clash with her purple hair. I'm sure she will be a lovely -- if somewhat unusual -- bride. Dorothy |

I thought you weren't supposed to know if she was eloping? I had similar problems with my hair - except the faded brown went nastily brassy compared to the plum jacket so re dyed myself brown. Go for the purple hair - wear your hair with pride! Fancy joining in Dorothy? a purple rinse say..... love and kisses, Jan

I'm beginning to think eloping would have been a smart idea. I could never get away with it, though! I'd have to bring the family with -- and really, our wedding isn't going to be too much beyond family and close friends, anyway. The dress sounds like it will be beautiful -- good luck putting it together! She is sure lucky to have a mom like you!
