I want to make a camera case for my digital camera. I am thinking about making it out of denim, however; I am lost in what to use as a cushion for protection against drops, bumps, etc. Any suggestions THANKS!

If it was me I'd get some high loft batting and sandwich it between layers of fabric. Dorothy |

I'm a little late posting but have you considered the thinner foam that many people use to make slippers? It may even be labeled slipper foam. You can use more than one layer depending upon the amount of cushioning desired. |

I'd invest in some cordura or sunbrella (that is what the professional cases are made of. For protection I'd make an inner lining of foam rubber and I'd cover it with an interesting fabric. It is very easy to bump your camera on a counter or just about anything when it is in the case. You need to protect your investment with something water resistant and well-padded.
