Hi all, just ran across a column by chance doing a search. If you do an inet search "dear eunice farmer" you'll pull up some great Q&A columns. Anyone heard of her? Just thought I'd share! |

until recently, (the last couple of years) this column ran in our newspaper for years and years.. It ran on Sundays.. I always liked it because people would write and ask for a suggested pattern for this or that style dress, skirt, blouse, or pants... She always had a suggestion with a pattern number or more than one at times.. I would go the middle of the week to get the pattern sometimes and the stores would be sold out..That is how people took her at her word.. She had sewing tips and shortcuts, and better explanations of techniques if people questioned them.. I miss her column .. Thanks for the info that she's on the www.. I have never thought to check here for her.. Eunice Farmer recommended many patterns that I did purchase and use, and I liked every one she gave out in her column..She also regularly discussed new fabrics, and notions, etc.. I think her column is where I first read about sergers.. She has to be way past retirement age... I know I remenber her for 25 years or more in the paper..
