Hi everyone, we got "virused" a while ago, (had to wipe the hard drive and flash the BIOS... I have absolutely no idea what this means but it impressed my computer geek friends and cost $175 to fix :throw: ) but here are a couple of pix of the dress I made for the cruise and may enter in the threads challenge if I get organized enough.
It is of silk shatung, boned to death and has a silk organza understructure and a china silk lining with lots of underling etc. The bodice will stand unsupported if you hold it at the waist! Very important for we less endowed individuals!!

Wow, Jeanette,
That is beautiful. I love the color. You will be hot on that cruise!
Keep us up to date on the threads contest. I'm looking forward to seeing your dress in the magazine and saying -- I know her (sort of).

I think that vogue still makes a glove pattern...a mid length glove would be lovely with it.

A very nice job. And the boning structure is not readily apparent--no rib lines. I like it a lot.

Stunning dress in my favorite color too. Maybe we will be able to see a picture of you in it on the cruise? Good luck with the contest.

The cruise was the last week of April and was amazing, the formal night felt like you were in a James bond movie! Much different than my regular life. Thanks for all the compliments, the red silk I had for about 5+ years in the ye old stash.
Unfortunately I don't have any good pix of me in the dress! One of our friends was the "official photographer" and he has yet to send my all the photos! So here is a snap of DH and me in our room prior to heading out.
