Clicking away on the links at the top of the page can be profitable to yourself as well as Mary (click those links people it keeps the site running). I have discovered 2 quilt/fabric shops not 7 miles from here that I never knew existed! Fantastic! A sister site to one of these, out in the Fens, runs an annual quiltette competition like the one in the states run using Hoffman fabrics. Reminds me of the cntest we had to make a simple block 36" square - there were so fascinating responses to that. i've been thinking of joining their challenge again this year, but i'm not crazy about the fabric. that one year that i joined (2003?), i didn't send them the quiltette, just the photo, becasue we had a quilt show coming up, and i was afraid it won't be back on time. i love to see what people make from one same fabric. some ladies are so talented. aren't you thinking of joining, Jan? Can't afford the fabric..... my car just needed significant work, daughter got married and 2 are at college. I am only allowed stash use at the moment... I don't think I have enough imagination yet, quilt wise to make a significant showing. love and kisses, Jan
