I picked up two great patterns at the sewing show in March and just finished two of the jumpers. The black and white one is a 'magic jumper', the front folds over to a clean side when the first side gets dirty. The second is a 'vintage jumper and hat' It is my favorite ever pattern from www.sewinggarden.com. I can't wait to see how the gd looks. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v425/LauraBC/Sewing/? http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v425/LauraBC/Sewing/? http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v425/LauraBC/Sewing/? http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v425/LauraBC/Sewing/? The vintage jumper is a white cotton with green stripes and a white cotton with grenn and pink pastel polka dots, plus a white, green and pink plaid And also my first attempt at crocheting. This took me quite a while to get the hang of it and I had to rip out each section three times before I got it right. Now I'm on a crochet binge!! http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v425/LauraBC/Sewing/? Just had to share before getting back at it for a while!! Laura

I love the jumpers, good work. Especially the reversible one with the flower buttons. Too cute!

Laura, was it difficult to crochet the poncho (is that what it's called?). It's very pretty. I mainly do blankets with a double crochet stitch but just go back n' forth. When it comes to following one of those patterns I get waaaaay confused. But I'd like to try..... - Maureen.

Mary I got the patterns from Susan at SewingGarden.com when she was here at the Sewing and Craft Show in March. I have never ordered on line from her, but I really like how she does her patterns and the directions are really easy. I also have the frayed edge jacket, and a hoodie pattern and a vest pattern for kids. Have the frayed jacket pattern ready to go, haven't tried the other two yet. Maureen, That poncho was really easy, it was 2 rectangles sewn together!! I have a really hard time with turning and getting a rectangle or a square shape, I tend to lose stitches somewhere in the turn and get one side coming in at an odd angle. That's why I had to do it three times for each rectangle. The trimming was easy, just a shell stitch I found in a book I had. I've been busy working on my rectangles and squares by doing cotton dishcloths before I attempt anything else. Laura
