I have been to Walmart and they don't have the kind I need and I would rather not pay JCPenny prices if I don't have to. What other stores sell traverse rods? I have been all over the internet but could only find internet or mail order and I really want a store I can walk into.
Also I was wondering if anyone has seen double traverse rods with a valance attachment? I want to have a sheers, curtains and a valance with the sheers and curtains on traverse rods.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Gina

I'm surprised that WM doesn't have them. I guess they're changing their stock. I've also bought them at Lowes.

Do you have a Jo-Ann's, Hancock, Target, K-Mart in your area ? Somw have
them & some don't. I'm sure you have checked your phone book yellow pages.I know what your looking for as I had that years ago. What about Sears ? I thought I was the only one that wanted someting & couldn't find it anymore. It's so frustrateing to say the least. Good luck. Have a Home Depot close ?

You add the sheers with a straight rod that rests inside the traverse rod. The traverse rods are changable from side draw to center draw. I currently have my valance on a board so I don't remember how the valance is added. I know Mom had one on the rod but I don't remember how it was "up there" whether it was on the rod or on the wall.

I want to be able to open the sheers also. This is going on a patio door so I need a double one. Walmart only had single center open ones. I had no clue that Joann and Hancock carry them. Which part of the store are they located in?
No Kmart anywhere in San Antonio anymore  .
I'll have to check Target, Lowes and Home Depot. Funny I didn't think of those places.

Phone Book Yellow pages ha, ha, ha. I throw those out as soon as they arrive. They are useless in a city this size. I do better with an internet search with my zipcode so at least I get stuff that is in my part of town.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. I guess I am going shopping tomorrow.

Are you making your sheers? The only ones I've ever seen anywhere that were made for a drapery pull were custom made. I just happen to have 13 or so feet of windows in my living room. These had been made for someone who ordered and didn't take them so I had a chance to buy them from a custom drapery company for $19.00...don't you know I snatched those lovelies up faster than you can say Jack Sprat! Honestly though, until then I had never even seen draw sheer curtains. As for a double traverse rod where both rods pull? I've never seen that either. I imagine that it will be expensive if you find it.

Yes I will be making the sheers myself.
JC Penney (http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.aspx?DeptID=0&CatID=028615&Grptyp=SIZ&ItemId=0de8a12) has them but I don't know if they can be changed from two-way to one-way draw. How can you tell?
Went to Lowes and Target last night. Target had nothing. Lowes had only single two-way draw. I am afraid to go into Hanncock and Joann because I am trying to cut back on the amount of fabric I purchase. Looks like JC Penney is gonna get my money.

It should say on the box. You my not know about JCP until you order them...at least you can send them back there.

Every Draw rod I ever had had the instructions on how to change from center to one sided draw included in the package when we purchased them.. I never had to buy doubles though.. I had the sheers up on tension rods inside the window frame..
