Hi,

I was hoping that one of you machine embroiderers could point me in the right direction for a particular alphabet. It's not so much the type of font, as it is the size of the stitching. I'd like something that is about half an inch (or less) and I have not been able to find something suitable - 'Script' would be ideal but I can adapt to a different font if the size is right.

I have a Janome but the smallest size of the built-in stitches is still too big and they don't have a card to purchase. The higher end machines probably have more flexibility.

Any suggestions are gratefully accepted! Thanks

This site has wonderful tiny designs, including alphabets.

Thanks, Joanequilts, for the link to the free lettering. I'm very new to embroidering but I think they only have two formats and neither seems to fit with my machine. But I do appreciate your help.

You don't say which Janome you have...I own 5.....

www.embroideryarts.com

www.oregonpatchworks.com

www.embroideryonline.com

www.embroidery.com

www.secretsof.com

www.needlepassionembroidery.com

www.emblibrary.com

www.stitchitize.com

all of these will have fonts, alphabets, etc. In various sizes and styles.
embroidery arts is the most expensive and expansive. all but Stitchitize and NeedlePassion are 'malls'....the other 2 are 'family owned'.

www.joann.com sells designs too...but the coupons don't work for the embroidery design site.

Thanks, Chrys, for all the links. I had already run across about half of them with no luck but I will work my way through the rest. My embroidery machine is the 300E; my regular sewing machine is the DC3050, and I love it.

My 300E has large, med, and small fonts...I just put my name, Kathy in it and it was 1,5" long and .5" high....in script...

Thanks for telling me about the S-M-L size options. I'm not very familiar with the machine yet (gee, was that obvious????) so I checked it out. And there it was, right on the same panel as everything else! LOL
