This is my first ottobre project. I had to put the old seam ripper to good use making it. My next one will be much easier. I have it listed on ebay right now. I'm hoping it does well.

Love the fabric! I'm planning on making the same dress from Ottobre for my two girls too, it is quite versatile if you use it as a pinafore over other dresses. I hope you do well on ebay Christy, I'll have to check it out on there.

How do this all work?
Are the instructions (for the most part) easy to understand? I haven't been able to get my hands on a copy so I'm kinda lost how you get the patterns. It has the patterns in the magazine, right? It may sound like a silly question (prefer to say stupid question) but how do I get a pattern for a 3 yr old girl's outfit from something the size of a magazine? Do they need to be enlarged and then pieced together? Sorry, but I'm clueless :whacky: !
Could someone please explain this to me??

Christy,
OMG, I was so impressed with your ebay business. It is set up beautifully. Do you do all your computer "stuff" yourself? Your bags are very cool and trendy. I am assuming you are highly successful!

Maureen,
The patterns come full size in the centre of the magazine on big sheets of paper folded up. They have all the various patterns marked in a different colour and you trace off the pattern and size you want onto tracing paper. No enlarging required. Not for real beginners but not difficult to figure out.

Love the materials. I have no idea what "ottbre" is but did you make those hairbows yourself as well? I noticed when I looked up your dress on ebay that quite a few designers have those bows. I must say, they would take up all of my daughter's head (she's only1)! I love how they match though! I have no idea how anyone makes those. Are you getting good response to your ebay? Did you have trouble setting it up? Looks great! Much luck in future.

Ok, so I'm completely silly. Just found the thread on the mag - and I didn't even spell it right. Now I think I'll go look into that as I haven't ever heard of it. Everyday something new...hee heee. :dave:

Very, very sweet. I like the boyish stuff for my kid, and she seems to agree. I think Ottobre is fabulous!
