I uploaded a Brother card into my Embird and when I open up the design the colors are out to lunch! They are red, yellow, navy, orange brown and white. How do I get them to show the correct colors without having to change each color seperately? Is there a way to have them show up in the Brother color palette?? Laura

The only way to change the colors is to do it color by color. What you are seeing is called ordinate colors. Some of the older softwares and a great chunk of professional softwares use them. What they are are color stops not the real colors. When you digitize with these and get used to seeing them then you can tell by a glance if something is out of line. Is there a reason why you need to see the colors? I normally just write down the color order and do it that way reather than fooling with changing all of the colors.

I guess I could leave it, but I am one of those compulsive people who just need to have things right. So, I am slowly changing the colors, on each design. It's only with the Brother ones off the card but it just irritates me that they are in such bizarre colors, I have a hard time even figuring out what the heck they are. Thanks, if I figure out another way, then I'll let you know scsu! Laura

Nothing wrong with making it the way you like. I just got used to the black and white screen on my old machine so it wouldn't bother me so much. I've also noticed that on my screen that if the colors are too similar it will tell me to repeat color #X when it isn't that color at all but a shade very close so I make sure I have my numbers wrote down in order and don't rely so much on the machine. I might be misssing a place to tell it which thread I'm using so it might be something I'm doing....if I knew it was then I could fix it couldn't I?

Sounds like you are viewing emblibrary colors. They are digitized in DST professsional format. You have to change them into your format. There is a great tutorial on how to change them at the emblibrary site. It works like magic. Good luck |
