I have a very basic White Classic sewing machine. How does one go about finding out about buying special feet for my machine? The customer serice people at White were of no help. Can I take one of my current feet to the store and try to match them up - or does that not work? Are their universal feet like needles? (lol) I've never needed/used special feet before - but I'm thinking that I would like to give some of them a try. I only use three, the standar foot, zipper foot, and buton hole foot. I'd like a blind stitch hem foot, maybe some others. And how does anyone do edgestitching on a drawstring only 1/4" wide? I couldn't believe the pattern wanted me to edgestitch both sides and ends - in one continuous line. Maybe my machine is just not that good - or I am really rusty! Hi Robin, There are many feet available specifically for a White Sewing Machine. An excellent online source is: http://www.store.allbrands.com/ Look under Sewing Machine Accessories. I would suggest that you call them and have one of the customer service people give you assistance. If you don't find what you want there, nancysnotions.com also has generic feet that fit any machine. Just go to the site to see how to identify the type of shank you have on your sewing machine and then get feet that fit that shank. Good luck Mary |

I'm having great luck right now with a satinedge foot from CF Creative Feet. It came with adapters for almost any machine -- they say any machine but I bet there is one or two out there it won't work on. I don't know about their other products but I'm happy with this one. http://www.sewingmachinefeet.com/testimonials.html Dorothy |
