I know I just posted, but another question just popped into my head. I'm goiong to be making Handle Covers and Luggage Tags for our suitcases. The pattern calls for making pockets to hold our name and address out of vinal. Any suggestions for sewing on vinal. I don't think I have a roller foot.
What size needle and thread would work best? in a quandry.

In the late 60's we just put a piece of paper on top of the vinyl to let it slip under the presser foot. Then we'd just pull the paper out of the stitches and use a damp wash rag to clean away the excess. I always have used a 14 needle and a longer stitch. If they are too close together they will cut the vinyl. It won't heal so anything that you sew stays one way or another.
