I want to try to make ribbon barrettes for my 2 granddaughters. I was thinking about buying "clippies" at the beauty supply store, but wasn't sure how to get the ribbon attached to the clippies. Has anyone ever tried to make barrettes and do you have any suggestions. Thank you.

I've used craft wire then covered it with ribbon and hot glued it. Does that make sense?
