Well this past weekend we helped DD and SIL move out of their old "SMALL" apartment. They are staying at his brothers apartment in a very beautiful wooded area just south of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. They could not take the kitties with them so DH and I are baby-sitting the grand kitties for the next month. The male wants nothing to do with any of my females and wants to stay in my very cool and comfortable basement, it's been very hot and humid here the past three days, so I check on him a few times a day.
Now his little sister on the other hand has made herself right at home and is having a hay day with all the windows I have for her to sit in and "chatter" at the birds. She got to see Geese this morning and went nuts jumping all different ways in the window and chattering at them. Then she looked at me as if to ask " what are theses?!?!?!?" She was even happier when she discovered that we also have her fish tank sitting on the kitchen counter with her fish in it!!!! She helps me feed not only hers but our too.
The first house that DD and SIL put a bid on fell thru on the Banks end of the deal, so they have found another one that was built in the 1920's with only ONE owner for it. They are just waiting for the final paper work to be processed and should have the house by the middle of June.
I will miss having my grand kitties here, but I know they will be having the time of their lives in their new digs!!!!

I just noticed your post. That's funny. :bg: My mom calls our rat terrier her grand dog. She always babysits her when we go on vacation. Our dogs parents and brother are my mom's dogs. She's usually a little nervous the 1st day she's with them, so she sits in my dad's lap all the time for protection. By the time we get back, she's having a ball.

Well Smeagle finally came out of hiding and is having the time of his 9 lives exploring Grands house from top to bottom!!! He has also discovered the many windows and is chattering as much as his sister.
He decided to take his nap today in the BATHTUB of all places. Had to put off cleaning the bathroom until he was up. He did get the fly-swatter on his fanny when I found him on the dinning room table. He hissed and grumbled at me but was loving on me 5 minutes later.
Hermione is just making herself right at home and just loves to be picked up and loved. Her thing is at night after you have gone to bed and are almost asleep, she wants some attention and will start to nibble on your fingers!!!! She still has her kitten teeth and they are SHARP!!! She doesn't break the skin but you sure do wake up fast!!!!
My 3 ol' ladies just look at them then go back to sleep, they can't be bothered with the young uns.

:bg: From their names it sounds like someone is a Lord of the Rings and a Harry Potter fan.

Yes you are right about the names. They did have another cat that they named Precious, but she fell ill and died shortly after her first birthday.
