| Hi everyone I am a newbie and have been reading about the contests. I dont quite understand it all and I am trying to learn my way around. Can someone explain the contest thing and is there one for june and how do I find out what it is. I have been looking at some lovely things that yall have made. Welcome to the boards! If you are talking about the sewing one going on, it is more of a challenge than a contest. No prizes with this one, we are just picking a theme and attempting to make it. June is a tote bag. Your choice of pattern, style, etc. If you can do it from stash that's even better. May was a summer outfit which many of us participated in. Check out the contest and challenge thread though as well as the swaps. We have lots of fun around here. Hope you will join in with us! Lyn

June is a tote bag of some sort. Since the forum seemed to be split as to who has and has not ever made a bag before we figured we could guide eachother through it!! It is really a way to help learn new things and use up some of that "I really liked that material and it was on sale" stash that every one seems to have. You might also try bingo next month. I just started doing that last month and it was soo much fun!!

Thank You so much for the welcome. I get excited when I come to this forum, sewing has always been my passion. I look at your picture and you look so familiar  of course I dont know you. I have never even been to Nova Soca......  I look forward to everything going on in the forum. Rose
