Here's a link to a garden apron I just finished. Hope the link is ok, this is the first time I've tried this. Elly http://ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ellymolin/album?.dir=7cb8re2&.src=ph |

That is really cute. Great idea too, I end up wandering back and forth looking for the tool I put down somewhere, and I alway have dirty handprints on my shorts or pants, I may have to build myself one!

That is nice. What is the fabric? Will the white stay that way? Dorothy |

Garden print is cotton, the white is a kind of twill from my stash. I made it as a gift for a friend, & her garden club is interested in buying some from me. I will use only cotton prints for those, I have some blue & green fabric I just picked up yesterday, the lighter colour is not practical, but it was a stash project. I've learned something though, you never know who will be looking at your work, & next time I give a gift I will make sure it is made with that in mind. Thanks for the compliments. Elly ![]() |

Elly: Very nice apron....did you use a pattern.....I need to make myself some as mine are getting old and run down looking.... I also think it is very stylish looking. My DH accuses me of looking like an old lady in my old flowered aprons....perhaps if I make something a little stylish looking I wouldn't have to hear about that. Congratulations on your order. Hi Kat, I just copied an apron I had from my kitchen to get the size ok. I got the idea for the loops on the side from browsing the pattern books at the fabric store. The garden fabric I looked all over for, eventually I got some on a trip to Maine, I live in eastern Canada, & in this city there are only 2 places to buy fabric. ![]() Elly |
