Hi I have been asked to make a twin bed skirt for a friend of a friend is there a typical size for the drop on the bed skirt? I can find out how to get the size for the top but not the drop. Any help would be appreciated.

My advice would be to ask for the measurement from the top of the box spring to where they want it to end. Touch the floor or just above the floor. I think I read it that you were asking about the drop length, right ? If not I'm sorry if I miss understood.

Thanks Beachgirl I was hopping I didn't have to ask her but that was info that I wanted. I get shy sometimes and thinks I should know everything and don't want to ask. Crazy but that is me. Thanks

I fully understand. The problem is all beds are not alike as you know. There are platforms, box springs & mattress, Mattress with a board underneath, Water beds & so on. They all have to be measured for the drop. Sometimes we think we should have all the answers but no one can. Just remember, there is no such thing as a silly question. This group is wonderful coming forth with answers. Believe me if we type something wrong even though we're thinking the right way someone will catch it fast. I don't mind that unless they aren't nice about it. We're all human. Glad to be of help. Someone else might have an even better answer for you.
