I am planning on making a custom guitar strap for my sister for Christmas this year. She taught herself to play and I'd really like to have it embroidered with her name, and the Church Band she plays and sings in, ThePoint.

Can anyone send me an idea of what it might cost me, and if someone here would be interested in the job. I trust people I know - and I really don't want to go to just the "Embroider Me" down the street.

Thanks!

My sister sings like a beautiful angel . . . . she is such a precious gift to me, and I want her to know that I feel that way about her everytime she plays and sings. I am so proud of her. And she is only 20!
You Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm, and place their trust in you. Isaiah 26:3, AV

Most people charge per 1000 stitches so knowing the size of letter will be important in giving a quote. If you check with your local Pfaff dealer they might be able to direct you to someone that has the Endless hoop. It would be the easiest way to do something like that strap so someone with it might charge less. ( Singer has a similar hoop but Pfaffs is easier to use).
Personally, I would go with a "local" before sending the work out... Makes it a lot easier if there are any problems and helps to keep the local economy strong.
But then, I'm a cranky old man that believes Wal-Mart, the Internet, and sending our jobs overseas are destroying life as we knew it.
Sounds like your daughter is very talented.
Have fun or don't do it, Tom

Our local Joann's fabric store does it. Try them if you have one in your area. Good luck..............Wish someone sang to me. :bg: Have a good day.

My mother and I both embroider. We'd have to do some shipping as I moved from PA 4 yrs ago, and my mom in Nov.....bummer.

But I can totally relate to the sister - voice of an angel, needs to be super special thing!!! ANd if you can deal with emails and pictures - we could work something out. Probably cheap too.
Pm me if you're interested. I can show you some of the embroidery we've done too.

Also, if that doesn't appeal - let me know where you are in PA. My mom might have some good (aka talented) friends that might be able to help (again with the cheap factor.)

You're a good sister.
