Hi, All. As usual, I am asking for help. I have a gown that is champagne-colored charmeuse (don't know if I spelled that right.) It is a slinky material, "drapier" than satin but shiny. Thin straps and the front drapes like a low cowl neckline. Very low cut. I am by no means a tiny girl and would like to get some more use out of this dress (it was a bridesmaids dress.) Tough to be a big girl in a herd of skinny ones--no choice in the gown. I though some sort of lace jacket or overblouse in the same color might disguise my boobs a bit.

Has anyone used a pattern that might be appropriate? BTW, I am almost 60 years old, so an age-appropriate style would be refreshing! Thanks for your help.

Do you think the ties on this would compete too much with the cowl neck? I think it is a lovely jacket.

What a classy looking jacket. Thanks so much. I wonder if I could substitute some type of clip or a frog to make it less competitive?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

A Clasp or a fancy frog might be really nice!

I agree, a clip or frog would be a more formal touch on that pattern. If you can't find anything locally, mjtrim.com is a great site.
