I have seen several Hooping Aids for positioning hoops on garments and I could really use one. Any suggestions on which one to get? |

You don't say what machine you have. Some machine brands have their own, some don't....it would be easier if you tell us what you own.

Sorry, I'm really new to this. I have a Singer CE200. I have a hard time centering the hoop on shirts. |

I see your machine doesn't come with a cloth setter. You can buy generic ones from www.allbrands,com www.embroidery.com or you can do what I do, because I'm lazy and don't want to get my cloth setters out. ( I own two and they've never been used). Try the garment on, you or whoever it's for...find where you want it. (use a mirror or just look at yourself)...make a mark with a pen (marking pen, disappearing or wash out), take the garment off, use a ruler to make a + in the center and as long ---- | as you need it to fit your hoop. Line up the lines on the garment with the side lines on your hoop (my hoops have lines in the center of each side), then hoop. Don't STRETCH knits...use a sticky(on the bottom of the hoop) and gently put it on, and smooth it out. (or hoop and spray your stabilizer, then set your knit down on it. If you need more stabilizer, float it on the top (especially if the knit is ribbed or has a nap) or on the bottom. Top stabilizer is usually a solvy (water soluable/wash away). Chrys
