Has anyone else had a piece of fabric that will not cooperate no way, no how?
I bought a Tshirt knit to make my daughter's bday present last year. 1 - there was a hole that I didn't see either when I bought it or cut it out, and it wound up in the front of the shirt. OK - had enough fabric, so cut out what I thought was the front, but it was the back! Still had enough fabric so cut out another front and finally got the darn thing embroidered and together. Since I had so much fabric left, I decided to make a T for myself. This time, the flatlock on the serger messed up, the 4 thread messed up, finally got the darn shirt together.
I think I'm just going to throw the scraps out!.

Weezy,
I have definitely had jinxed fabric. Luckily I buy most of my fabric on sale so if something just isn't going to work out I can abandon it!

Many times!!! The worst was when I bought this beautiful jaquard fabric, I got 2 different pieces, one was this red oriental fabric and the other was a gold Oriental looking fabric. It was only $2.99 a yard so I thought I had a bargain. WRONG!!! I attempted to make a dress with the red fabric and it shredded all to pieces when I was trying to put the collar on. Then I made a pair of pants and a blouse with the gold fabric and I was dressed and ready to go to a wedding, when I sat down on my bed, the pants ripped and the blouse ripped and I had to sew the blouse right before I left. The pants were beyone repair. The fabric was like tissue paper and I understand why it was so cheap!! Never again!!

Sounds like rayon fabric. The lightweight kind.. That is the way it did when it first came out years ago.. That is why I never buy rayon, even to this day.. Because it wasted so much of our money back in the old days...
