I did it! I went conservative and ordered the Singer Futura CE 200 from sewvac. It is a factory serviced machine with full 25/5 warranty and an additional 5-year from dealer. I'm hoping any kinks have been corrected already. My first intended project will be 1 or 2-color embroidery on a flounce for my mother-of-the groom wedding outfit, so I sure hope I can figure it out quickly!

mammagoose several of us here on the board have either the CE 100 or 200. The 100 is the same machine minus a few of the built in embroidery stitches and a couple of the buttonholes. I love my 100 and have done some really cute t-shirts and some really pretty table linens with it. I use it only for the embroidery as I have a couple of other tol sewing machines.I"m sure you'll catch on quick as it is pretty easy to learn. I belong to a couple of Yahoo groups for the Futura and those ladies are really helpful to beginners or old users that tend to do goofy things that cause problems from time to time. You're gonna be so addicted. When I'm in the mood dh laughs and tells the dog she better not stand still or mom will embroider her.

Welcome Aboard! I am a proud momma to a CE100. I have a bit of experience with Autopunch so if you have any questions about that let me know. I agree with Patsy, those Yahoo groups are full of information. One problem is that they have so much information you can waste hours of your embroidery time reading all the posts. I find it most helpful to just go to the boards when I need help with a specific problem and only read about that problem.
