Now I am having lots of fun! I made this up, it was supposed to be the May Theme project, but I was really struggling with the free motion quilting, and finally I went for it. The stitches are not as close together as I would have liked, but I have discovered that there is a fine line between needle speed and moving the fabric. Practice makes perfect as they say. The sleeves I quilted after finishing the table topper, so they are much better done. But this was so easy to put together, and purposely has frayed edges. I just love it. It's coming with me to California and I'm wearing it even if its 90 degrees out!

The pic colors are a little dark, the fabric is a pale coral pink and the blue a light grey blue, it was a pack of 8 fat quarters that I got that were called 1930 vintage.

I love it, soft and comfy looking with perfect colors. I really like the idea of initials on the inside pocket. Better than any label or tag. Great job!

To be honest with you, I saw the topic and was like...eek.. :nervous: .quilting jackets....
I saw a show on them the other day and it was the UGLIEST thing I've ever seen....ever.

But this, this is completly different. I absolutly adore it!
Best I've seen, period. Color selections are perfect as well.

Also, the wire body holding it rocks. I love it.
Nice pic.

Thanks everyone, I am so thrilled with this jacket! The pattern is from My Favorite Things a company here in Delta, BC. She has all sorts of really cute patterns, this is my 2nd one I've sewn and I really like them, plus they are easy to read. The website is Favorite Things (http://www.favoritethings.net/) The pattern is called 'The Frayed Jacket'. She does both CDN and US orders. And they are multisized from 4-22!! I usually have to do a size 14-16 in patterns, but this one was perfect as a size 12, which is what I usually wear in RTW size. Good thing my sister made her jacket first in a 12, as I was going to do a 14 as usual and I would have had to make it quite a bit smaller.
