Does anyone know how to convert a men's dress shirt into a shirtdress? I'm pretty new to sewing clothes so any help I get would be great. Here is a link to a site that has pictures of what I'm trying to do:

Egad, that's cute! Did you try the link? There's a link a few messages down for the site where you can buy a pattern.

I wonder how tall this girl was. I doubt if I could find a shirt long enough.

In the link the girl said she was 5' 1". I think she bought an XXL shirt.

It looks to me like the pocket was gently removed on the front.

Then, you would put the dress on inside out and have someone pin in front darts and tapers in the back. Then sew along your pin lines.

I couldn't reload the picture, so that is all I noticed from the first glance.

I'd agree with Patty, about the darts. However looking again at the picture, I can't see the dart seams.

It looks like she did it without help, but I think that it would be much easier doing it Patty's way.

Very cute dress.

That is super cute!

Post pics when *you* get yours done.

I do not believe I am brave enough to attempt something like that, but its super cute.

That is sooooo cute. If anyone makes one, please post more info. It would be so cute on my 14yo. And her Pawpaw wears a size tall XX so getting a shirt would be easy.
