I feel somewhat stupid posting this, but I need some help.

I hate ball fringe and have never used it. A client wants this trim around a pillow. The 100 dollar question: When the fringe is applied, does ANY of the header show? If so, how much? :nc:

I haven't been able to get to a store to check out the ready-mades. I know that someone here can help. Want to finish this up tomorrow, and am just really unsure.

Thanks all!

I don't really like it either - but seems like quite a few people do. This is a helpful question as I'm gonna have to use it on some clown costumes here pretty cute.

Well, the ball fringe and I went header to head, and I won! I pinned the fringe on several ways, and decided that leaving just a fraction of the header showing, maybe 1/16 to 1/8", looked best.

I pinned it on first, then as I was sewing it, noticed it was stretching. So I just unpinned it and placed the header along my stitching line. Easy as pie! Looks good to me, and the client just loved it. And that's really the bottom line!

Hope this helps in your clown costume-making. Above all, don't let that fringe intimidate us--after all, we're bigger than it is, LOL! :dave:
