Hi all,

I have been off line for a while because baby Matthew was born safetly at home on June 14. We spent the last 10 days living with my inlaws because she said it was easier to take care of us there than to come here 3 times a day.

It was wonderful. I only had to worry about taking care of baby and showing up for meals. Mom and Dad took care of my boys and DH and I had a vacation, babymoon  .

OK, I tried to help some, but when I was tired I was expected to go to sleep.

My 2year old is still there, but we came home last night.

Baby weighed 6lb 14 oz and was born at home. It was my longest labour, started contractions at 2:00pm, midwife came around 7:00pm but baby was born at 12:11am after he turned to face the proper direction. All in all it was a very relaxing birth with no - oh no, I'm ready to push, the kids are playing in the yard and I am alone moments. Because of the longer labour and lack of stress, my bottom was not sore and healing is coming quickly. He is a good baby.

It is good to be back.

Congratulations, he's beautiful! Great bunch of boys! That's so good that you had help. Especially because you have other kids. Keep resting when you need to!

Congrats from me too! Beautiful family! Four boys, wow, you must be so busy. Hope you are getting some sleep (I'm sure not, my little guy thinks it is party time from midnight till 3 am. He started off as such a good sleeper.... he's only 19 days old - what did I expect? they are so sweet though).
