Check out our gallery and click on smocking. I just want you all to see the most beautiful smocked dress I think I have ever seen.

These really are beautiful. I have only tried smocking once - a tunic for myself when I weighed considerable less. It has been in a bag with only one row done for many years. It is lovely vyella fabric. Every now and then I haul it out and yearn over the pattern. I love the look of smocking. I like the blue outfit on the right. Does it have legs in it?
I am going to make a little baby gown tonight (plain) but I recall someone giving my mother to give to me 1/2 doz gowns for my first babe. They were all smocked and flannel like you can't find today. I was so sorry when my babes outgrew them.
Also, for a very short time when I first moved here I joined a 'Mother's Day Out' program. One day one of the older organizing women approached me with an adorable little dress. She gave it to me saying that I looked like the type that would appreciate all the smocking and that it had been done by her minister, in England's wife! I have some wonderful pictures of Jen wearing that dress.

The little blue outfit on the homepage, is a bubble. Isn't that sweet, I think babies look so sweet in bubbles, so yes it does have legs.

Oh, I wish you would pull out that smocking and finish it, it sounds wonderful
