I am making Jon Jon type outfits for my soon to be grandson. On some of them I would like to omit the snap tape. Has any one done this? Can you just stitch the legs up or do you need to alter the pattern?

Thanks in advance!!

I have made numerous baby outfits and omitted the snaps in the legs. Just make sure that there is enough of a seam allowance there. Some patterns give you a 5/8 seam allowance to place the snaps in and others don't, it is very easy to add what ever seam allowance you need. HTH.

I've done it too, and totally agree with sewing grandma. My daughter likes it better without snaps as her little one is way too wiggly to get snaps done up.
