All material is 100% cotton and approx 18 X 22 in size.

August- BUGS

September- MODA MARBLES-these are not always found in the walmarts etc, maybe only found online in some areas, so keep that in mind, but they are sooooooooooooo nice :-)

I am excited to get back into FQ swap in August!!! Count me in for August!
Carmen--you are doing very well on your weight loss!! Kudos for you!!!! I was disgustingly FAT after Sarah was born in May 2004 and stayed that way until about Dec of that year. I finally made up my mind to loose that weight..started out the WRONG way but was still running when I could (definately not as dedicated as I should've been.) After I recuperated from my hysterectomy in Oct of last yr, I really put alot of effort into getting back healthy. Total dropped is almost 70 pounds and the best part is I feel good. The best advice anybody gave me was to eat breakfast. I have never ever been a breakfast eater unless it was a BK bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and hash browns but now I eat something healthy (usually oatmeal.) Occasionally I splurge and have 2 pieces of french toast but no butter on it. Eating breakfast boosts your metabolism and gives you energy for the day..not only that, I feel fuller and snack less. Being only 5'4" every pound shows (in opposition to my 15 yr old who is half a foot taller than me.) I know you are VERY VERY proud of yourself!!

Carman...way to go on your weight loss! I'm proud of you and I know how happy you must be with yourself!

Count me in for August. I will be out of town the last week of July and the first week of August but will have my fabric mailed out before the end of August.

Let me know if you need my addy again.

All the themes sound great! Can't wait for each month-always nice to have a surprise in the mailbox!

Hey Carman, congrats to you on your weight loss. I will admit I probably have at least 50 lbs to lose, but don't have a clue where to start. Anyways count me out of bugs, and with not working the summer will let you know about the Modas, as they will have to be ordered online. Have a super summer everyone!!

I'm afraid I have to pass for August - but I am in for September - that gives me a head start!

Now - what is Moda Marbles? (sorry, newbie swapper here  ) Do we post what colors we are each buying so we don't get doubles? or is it ok for two to buy the same?

Carmen do you want to know if we are in for all those months - or will we get another chance coming around?

Thanks for including me!

Robin

p.s. Please do share your weight management plan and Way To Go!

WOW Carmen you lost a whole you. You need a BRAVO!!!!! A standing ovation.

I'd love to join but I think I will wait until Sept. When do you have to know if we're in for Aug. I might be able to pull it off. All I have to do is get fat quarters and mail them to you right? If so maybe I can do that. When do they have to be mailed? I could really use the fabric to add to my QUILT Stash. Not that I have enough fabric in this house already. ROFL Let me know in time to play now.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

I'm a quilter and took some time to figure out how this works....I think I xan still join for August.

I would like to - Bugs right. Um, so how do I sign up? And is there a date by which people need to receive their fq's? Is it just 1 to each person - I think that's what I read. Ok - well, looking forward to the info and the swap.

Does the Moda Marbles include the Moda Marbles Solids and the Moda Marbles Stars and Scrolls?

Yes, bugs for August...be sure Carman has your mailing information. She'll send everyone who signs up a list of who is participating with their addresses, then you mail a FQ to each person on the list (don't forget to keep a FQ for yourself-I usually forget that part). Needs to be mailed by the end of the month the swap is for-in this case August.

the Moda Marbles will include the whole line per say, as long as it says Moda Marble on it and not the flowery ones in the line, i hope that makes some sense :nervous:

I started going to the gym at lunchtime!!! It is a great way to release all of the pent up aggrevation that one stuffs into oneself. I eat!! I need to lose 40 pounds.. and I will do IT!! thanks to you!!

I didn't know what Moda is but...wow! They are really pretty online.
Hope I'm up for a swap in September.

Do I prewash the fabric before cutting the fat quarters? I plan to get my fabric early - and buy extra for myself for a quilt - I have coupons and gift certificates for fabric so I'm gonna use them before they expire.

I just love the Moda Marbles too. I can hardly wait till September!

Wash or not-your choice, just stick a tag on the fabric or envelope somewhere telling us if you washed it or not.

I would love to participate in the November and December swaps. Living in rural areas you are so correct to warn us when certain fabrics may be hard to find. I loved the one swap I was able to get in on and would like to participate in these two months, do I need to wait to sign up or will you send out the info on swap participants just prior to the month? Thanks for taking charge of this swap, I am sure it is a lot of work, you are sooooo appreciated.

Bye for now.

I will just wait until October, the end of it, and write to you so I can join for the November swap, then also do the same for December.

Thanks.
