Did we ever set a theme for July?? I cant think of anything fun right now I have been in OT at work and my brain is sooo very fried. Maybe a cool summer shirt or shorts??

Any thoughts, I know we crept into july already but better late than never, LOL!!

Wow. Completely let that go - it is the almost the middle of July!
How about a sundress? Or a theme of something in the fabric instead of an object - like sunflowers, beach, boats/ocean, or material with flip flops?
Hmmm....

Ok -Stephi - see I think those are fine. Although we said maybe not the item (sundress) but more the fabrix so people xould make whatever they want, right? And, um, does someone actually approve this or something?

Me too as I just finished adding a skirt to an old pair of jeans my dgd outgrew. It has seashells and starfish-came out pretty cute. Hoping to get a picture of her in it this weekend.

Mrs Snuggly, good question. This is different from Mary's Purse-onal Effects contest, for example. These monthly sew-along themes are quite free form, having emerged recently from a then-new(?) member's great suggestion. Anyone can get it started, we can skip a month, and you can choose to participate or not each time, based on your interest level or what else you happen to be in the middle of in your life. It's all for fun--no need to "enter," b/c everyone is a winner. The prize at the end is the satisfaction each person gains from his or her creation, and the fun of sharing pictures at the end of the month.

Sounds like summer prints are the theme of the month. Maybe we can let this go through august since we started so late??!!

I think I got it! This is a dress I made for my great niece. The flip flops are glittered.
