I bought the very expensivePalette 6.0 last year with my new embroidery machine. What a mistake. I have spent a year bouncing my head off the wall, unable to get this program to work. The instructions book is a joke...everyother instruction is sending you to a new place in the book for new instructions. My dealer doesn't even like it..she said she just can't get it to sew out correctly. So now I am stuck with a very expensive program that doesn't work and won't sew out a pattern without skips and overlaps in the colors. They have a new workbook out...but it is sealed so you can't see what it is...another rip off. I have sent an e-mail to the company...don't imagine I will get a response.

Any one out there want a 6.0?

I have been craving this program for a long time. But if it gave you so much grief, I would probably ben at a lost too.

I wanteed this until I saw the price. Stinks everything has to be so much for this hobby lol. Now I am thinking it may not be worth me getting.

One nice thing about the Artista Software is that the dealer will get you started with some basic training which can be retaken if need be. I may be spoiled but it doesn't take a whole lot to get me started, I just need some basics. I don't think that I would purchase a software for a sewing machine without some basic lessons. In addition my dealer offered a special "club" which is getting ready to start back with the fall which allowed you to concentrate on a specific attribute of the software. It is sooooo much fun and it moved me miles down the road!!!!! I really enjoy the software training because all you need is your laptop...so much nice than lugging a heavy machine and all the extras to a meeting!
