Did you see the "Road to the Runway" last night? I don't know if they had originally planned on showing it then because the only ads I've seen for the preview show was for tonight. They showed all of the new contestants initial interviews.

I'm recording them all and burning them to DVD!!!

Missed the show last night as we had our monthly grocery marathon shopping to do. Am looking forward to tonight's program and have already warned DH that I'm not to be disturbed. My mom sent me some newspaper clippings on the Season 2 winner, Chloe Dao. I wonder what Jay McCarroll, the winner of Season 1, is doing these days and if he got his label launched or not. I heard that Daniel Vosovic got a job with Michael Kors. In the Sept issue of Threads, there is an article about Marla Duran and photos of some of her designs. It's shows like these that inspire creativity and garment sewing.
Happy Stitching!

I think they mentioned last night that Jay is showing his new line this fall. I guess he wanted to wait until everything was right, and he had his clothes all ready to go into the store before he had a show. Plus I think he didn't take the money from Banana Republic for winning, because I'm sure there were some strings attached. So he had to find his own funding.

I wish I had seen that but when one only watches about 2 hours of television per week, one is bound to miss lots. Maybe they will show it again when Bravo decides to do its marathons or neverending repeats. Last night, I thought the blue coat with fur collar and cuffs was beautiful. And the dress made with coffee filters reminds me of the dress Chloe did when she glued together all those petal/ leaves (I forget). Both looked like actual fabric. Such talented people. I wish I had the skill and creativity to just toss some yardage across a dressform, sew it together in one night, and march out the front door the following morning looking ravishing!! I never did see season 1 as I only discovered the show this year. I'll probably go to the website and purchase both complete seasons. I can definitely watch it again and again.

Trivial information: I typed Project Runway in the search box on Ebay Tuesday I think. There was an autographed Barbie (the one Nick fashioned in season 2) with a current bid of over $400.

I've watched all the seasons to date and was really excited for the new one! I rarely see it on Wed. nights, usually catch up and re watch all the episodes they replay on Saturdays.

Carry On!
