I love Project Runway and was happy that Season 1 & 2 were repeated prior to Season 3's start. It's my Wednesday night viewing and I like the fact that I can catch up on it another day if I happen to miss any of it. What was your favorite outfit in Season 3's first runway show?
Happy Stitching!

I liked Robert's dress (the white with the jewelry and red bows in the back) and Laura's (the coat with the fur collar). Vincent's was insane, but I guess they're going to keep him for ratings! I think he must have a split personality, because on the "road to the runway" show, he said he was out of fashion designing for a while, but "we're better now."

Obviously this must be a TVshow but I don't think I've ever noticed it on any of the channels we are getting. What channel are you watching it on and is there a website that may give some info as to what channels its on?? Sounds like it would be way better than the Speed channel!

I found the webiste for Bravo and I have been searching our TV guide inside out for all the Bravo shows and darned if I can find when its on! I've checked the times, dates, gone through one book for a whole week and can't find it. I also saw that it was supposed to be on NBC Mondays, but can't find that either. Anyone else in the Pacific North West that watches it and can give me some help as to when it may be on up here?????

Well, I keep looking and can't find it, but I did find Project Catwalk on Life Monday at 10:00pm, apparently this is the UK answer to Project Runway, so I will watch that, and keep checking on Bravo and NBC. It may just be because I'm in Canada that we get different stuff, though most of my channels are American. Who knows!

The only way I can get the Bravo channel is thru Time Warner digital cable which I have to pay to receive it. Otherwise, I would not have known about this show. That may be why you cannot find it thru your television guide.

Just to let y'all know... you have hooked me.. This is the first one of the "reality" shows I have ever watched.. I watched the reruns of the last one after the fact so I am starting out with this one.. So far, it has been interesting to watch.. I got a phone call and did not hear all the instructions for this week's challenge, but I will watch the rerun to hear all of what was included.. I saw a couple of pretty gowns and a couple of real 'dogs'..

All the designers where to design a competition gown for Miss USA for the Miss Universe Pageant this coming Sunday. She picked seven designs that she liked, those designers then picked a non picked designer as their partner.
The whole thing was to see how they work(ed) as a team and how well the listened to each other. Some did great some BOMBED big time!!!
I can't remember who the winning designer was, but the team that did lose only lost one designer not both.
Malan was the one to go this week.

I love this show too!!
My husband and daughter have an understanding that on Wednesday night at 10 pm it's Mom's tv.. :dave:
I was sad when Malan was talking about his mother throwing his drawings on the floor and said they would never be worth anything....it broke my heart. Boy there was one team that didn't get along at all...I can't remember their names.
Can't wait until the next show...

The gown which won was done by a young man from OKC where I live, Miss USA wore it in the finals last night and was fourth runner-up. A very different design with a pouf at the bottom of a strapless fitted bodice sown to the hips in an irridescent chiffon type fabric which showed purpley one way and gold the other. This young man specializes in prom and pagent gowns so it was a natural for him. I love the show but our guide doesn't show which episode is playing so I tune in and sometimes it is a repeat of what I have seen.

I tuned in at the time that had been advertised as the first show, and saw the second. Grrr... I hate that it's on so late anyway, I always fall asleep. But it hardly matters because it's rerun over and over.

That one woman was worthless! But they kept her. I think they always pick the most annoying person and give them a "free pass" so we'll all have someone to hate.

I watched the last part of the pageant last night just to see Miss USA and the Gown... It was absolutely gorgeous on her.. I thought she was stunning in the gown, her makeup and overall.. Tonight, My ABC network station has a project Runway program scheduled at 8:00 pm.. I guess now that the show is getting popular , they are starting to carry it.. Its the first time they have scheduled it, as far as I can tell..

I FOUND IT! I just finished watching the show on NBC. It was really good, quite enjoyed myself. But since you all saw it earlier this week I will have to stay away from you until I see it on Monday nights, so it doesn't spoil the surprise. I think I'm going to be hooked!

I too am addicted and stay up way past my bedtime to watch. If I miss, I always catch up on the Marathon Weekends when they air all the shows in a row to date.

Tara looked just great in the dress made by Kane. But I expected big things out of him this go round on the pagent dress.

And what is the deal with Vincent and Angela? I can hardly wait to see who gets the "Auf Wiedersehen" this week!

YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEITH IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was just a jerk from the start.

Angela, well if the other two team members had not spoken up the way they did and stood their ground, she would have screwed up another "flower design" and been gone. Hopefully she had learned SOMETHING from working with them, but I don't think so.

http://www.bravotv.com/Project_Runway/ and you can see the outfits from last nights show and rate them.

I'm glad that Keith "the brat" is gone. It is too bad that he had to "cheat" for the first set of challenges plus it really annoyed me when he asked for special favors at Mood Fabrics when he overspent his allotted amount. I'm glad that Michael and Kayne had the guts to bring it to the producers' attention that he was using patternmaking books and had sneaked out for several hours to check the internet for the latest fashion trends. I'm sorry that he even won the first challenge which gave immunity for the next one. Another thing that I found most curious is Angela's sketches to Macy's to become team leader since she emphatically said to Miss USA, Tara Conner, that she COULD NOT sketch. Then she appears two episodes later sketching a really cute outfit. I'm glad that Laura and Michael stood their ground with her and had her tame down the rosettes to win the challenge. While Bonnie's outfit was not all that "fashion forward" it is something that I would wear. I was very disappointed in Robert's outfit. What was he thinking!!! I like watching the reruns as I discover something new each time.
Happy Stitching!

Last night I kept dreaming of Tim walking over to my work table and asking me very politely in a mentoring concern, "What were you thinking here?" Then he slowly glances from my garment, over the rim of his glasses. My soul struggles with my creativity and again I wonder *how can I do this better?*

Over and over again.

He is my favorite part of the show. I love how he interacts with the designers.

I found it strange that anyone would even consider bringing a pattern making book since they knew the rules and agreed to them. I'm not sure Keith was a plant, but he was very deceptive. The team that finished Keith's garment are VERY TALENTED! I love them both.

Marty, I found that odd too that Angela suddenly was able to sketch an idea that presentable for a client presentation. Has Angela been playing "dumb" or is she gaining some skills? 30 minutes to sketch an idea is demanding of even the most talented people. Rusched yo-yo's or the Granny circles, as they were calling them, seem quite organic - which I find an interesting trend I'm finding creeping in - maybe the retro 70's influence perhaps? Not that I get Angela, but her team definitely won the challenge for her. It is one thing to have an idea, but her team carried it to fruition.

This is the only good show on TV this summer so I am spending quite a bit more time in my sewing room. Well, except when I go watch the re-runs

I noticed that Angela all of a sudden could sketch. I remember well the look she got when she announced 2 shows ago that she didn't sketch..weird!
I'm glad Keith is gone too. It's not fair to the others for him to have the books whether he used them or not (so he claimed he never used them.) I don't like Angela at all..maybe she'll redeem herself by the time the shows over but I just don't care for her.
So--who do you guys think will win in the end??? I just have no clue.

I'm glad that Keith is gone.. I noticed how embarrassed his teammates were in the fabric place when he asked for special prices and kinda begged... That embarassed me, I really felt bad for his teammates.. They did great without him, don't you think ??

Libby, I'm glad that Keith is gone too. I have no clue as to who will win in the end but this group seems to be EXTREMELY talented. I think the producers who are also judges (behind the scenes) encourage each one's quirks for TV drama or meladrama. Even Vincent with his archaic ideas is fun to watch.

This morning I was awakened with a phone call from my DD who had found Mood Fabrics and shopped for me. Brown & pink is the new color for fall she said. She bought 3-1/4 yds of a floral cotton print so I can make a blouse for myself. She said that she had figured out the NYC subway system. Quite a feat in 3 days I think. Today they were headed for Long Island to visit a spa. She is really enjoying her trip. Wednesday, they will head to the DC area and she'll be home by next Monday. I do miss her even though I love the peace and quiet when she's gone.

Is it just me, or are the clothes more wearable this season? They look more like something actual people could wear instead of the "deconstructed," trashy, I-just-got-here-from-Mars stuff the designers kept making the last two seasons.

I agree they do look like something your can walk right in and pick right off the rack.
Has this years "Santino" come out yet, or have they been booted aready? Is someone still hiding their TRUE style and waiting for the right time? If so I hope they don't wait to long, they might get booted before they shine!!!

I am very surprised by Robert. He has become so "safe" with this designs. For someone who works for Matel doing Barbie clothes I would think that he would know how to be really "out there", plus the fact that he also worked with Issac Mizrahi. Now that is one designer who never plays it safe, he just goes for it.
Anglea said something last night that I thought was so true. You have to not only see your design, but also see how to use your fabric to bring it to "life". I thought she did a very good job last night.
I'm still going with Laura as the one to go all the way, BUT she has to start designing out of her safe zone.

Tid-bit from last weeks show. Angela's outfit at Macy's is listed at:

T-shirt $39.00
Pants- $59.00
Jacket-$169.00
sz -2-14 in gray only
I wonder what kind of cut ($$$$) she gets from the whole thing???

Last night I was sorry to see Bradley go. However, I do think that he was out of his element. He seems to be a natuarl born procrastinator who gets it at the last minute and having a time constraint stifled his creativity. Just my opinion for the two cents it may be worth. I loved Kayne's dress as he was in his element. Michael really knew how to put it together and I loved the fact that he won the challenge and will be in an Elle advertisement for Tresemme products. Two things that I've learned about Angela - 1. She can sketch if she wants to do so. 2. She can make beautiful, wearable clothing. With that being said, I wonder if Vincent will be the one to go next.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi! I never miss an episode, even now that I am home from surgery and often tired - at least there is something to watch when I can't get out of bed!

My kids make fun of me - I watch all the re-runs, this season and last, every week (sometimes multiple times).

I find myself really unable to connect with any of the designers yet on this seasons show. Anyone else having this issue? Last season it was like I "felt" the personality of each one, and was hooked on Nick, Chloe, and Daniel from the first few shows. Not true this season. I think the team challenges are taking away from the individuality of each person. I want to see them all do their own challenges.

Anyway, how many days till Wed?

Sorry to hear that you're laid up recuperating from surgery. Hope that you are well on the road to recovery. I do like re-watching the other Project Runway shows from Season 1 & 2 because I can usually find something of interest that I may have missed. DD has hinted that she might just get the DVD's of the first 2 seasons for my birthday. She has all of the DVD's for Alias, her favorite TV show. Happy Stitching!

My mind has been sitting idle too long - yesterday I started thinking of clothes, the designs, and how I could get a form and start making my design come to life - aghhh! I've always worked from patterns - but . . . . . PR inspires me!

Would like to keep this thread going here.

Who watched this past weeks show - Battle of the Designer and Mom Model?

Where does this guy get off talking to people like he does? I really wish he had been voted off, it's almost like they are keeping him on just for the fireworks between he and Angela!!!

I really feel that all the designers are getting to set with their styles and then need to be shaken up BIGTIME!!!!

I think that Jeffrey is this year's Santino. His ego is that big but his designs are not anything that I would wear for the most part. I thought Kayne did a nice job in making the outfit for Michael's mother. However, I would have gone for full length pants instead of capri's. I do think it was also a little matchy-matchy on the top but it could have been livened up with a V-neck or cross-over top with the sheer poncho over it. I hated Robert's dress and jacket for Vincent's sister. It's as if everyone thinks "large ladies" need to wear a tank with no shape and a jacket over it. Not appealing at all. Jeffrey's dress for Angela's mom was hideous. I think he should have been cut though instead of Robert. However, they had given Robert 3 chances to improve and he didn't. Guess that is why he was cut. I did not think Angela's design for Laura's mother was flattering either. Who wants fringe around their widest part of the hip? It will be interesting to find out next week's challenge. Now, I'll have to go back and read Tim's blog on bravotv.com.

I did not get to see this weeks show until today. I was surprised at Jeffrey's rudeness. After the show, I did go to the website to see Roberts full exit video and discovered that Project Runway, too, has a message board. I read a few of the posts and the posters there are extremely candid = borderline MEAN! Wednesday's show already had 135 pages at the time I visited the site.

I thought Jeffrey should've gone too. I have liked Robert througout the whole show and hated to see him leave. I thought Jeffrey was terrible rude to Angela's mom and there was no cause to be that way. The outfit was terrible to boot..I did like the poncho that Robert had made. I am not really fond of Laura for some reason either. I really like Michael and for some odd reason, I like Vincent -he's weird but I get a kick out of some of the things he says and some of his ideas.
I felt really bad for Angela and her mom. I was shocked when Jeffrey called Angela's mom a b____ on TV. Can you imagine someone saying that about your mom much less on tv? I would've been livid! I think he did that dress exactly like Angela's mom didn't want it. I also felt badly for his mom. You have to admire her for trying to make excuses for him and make things right.

I was thinking that Vincent was this years Santino. What got me was how the "guys" would go into the sewing machine room and then GOSSIP and BACKSTAB!!! "Did you see that so and so is crying or that so and so is complaining, etc, etc, etc."   If that would have been my mom or sister Jeffery would have been picking himself out of the wall!! I wouldn't stand for it and I know for sure neither one of them would put up with his mouth or attitude.
I would love to see Santino and Jeffery in the same room- those two could really go from one extreme to the other with each other. Either hit it off or kill one another!!!!
The only one that I think has come close to pulling out all the stops with their designs is Michael. Uli would be my next pick. Everyone else just seems to be holding back in their "safe zones". They really need to just let go and if they win they win if, they get canned then so be it. But at least they would be canned knowing that they tried to go that step above their safe zones.

The girl that cuts my hair recommended that I watch this show so my first one was the one with Malan (?) and I thought it was just too sad and that the show was so HARSH.

I'm not a fan of reality shows and have only watched Survivor - the first season before.

I decided P.R. wasn't for me but then................ I tuned in again a couple of weeks later and liked it better. Then again and I liked it even better. It sucked me in.......

I thought the concept of this last show with the moms was wonderful! I liked the twist of not working with your own mom/sister. I was appalled at Jeffrey's behavior. I don't think the show did a very good job explaining why he was so rude to Angela's mom though. I don't know where that anger came from. We only saw her being sweet - not a thing like her daughter!

I was also appalled by the fact that they were all weirded out about designing for "real" women. Most of them seemed disgusted by the idea. Seems to me the mature attitude would be to see THAT as the challenge and try to rise to the possibilities of creativity within that opportunity. I didn't care for even one of the outfits.

Did you notice the dress forms with all of the padding? I totally admire the heavier women for going into this experience knowing what they might be in for.

Laura and Angela have the killer drive and some talent but I'm thinking Michael (? black guy) has a pretty good chance. He's got class in his designs and in his attitude and seems strong without being nasty.

What an industry! :re:

I only caught a bit of the show and I am waiting to see a repeat of the episode.

With that said, I have to say that I thought Angela's mother was whiny. From what I saw, Angela told Kenny the colors that her mother liked and that was what he was trying to work with.

I didn't really see any of the other mothers acting in such a pouty manner.

The fact that Kenny has a distate for Angela only seemed to intensify with her mother. However, let's remember that reality tv shows do not show everything that happens and are not necessarily "real". We are viewing this through the lens of the camera person, and again through the producer and film editor. We don't always know their agenda of what kind of emotions they are trying to get from the public watching.

Now I'm not saying that Kenny didn't display any maturity himself in this situation. But what my understanding of this task was working with clients. In the real world you are not going to design for your friends and they will be very verbal about every decision that you make on your own. Clients also have the ability to change their mind frequently and then instruct you about what design is or isn't and what they think looks good on them (it's like sewing for opinionated children.)

Not everyone has the skill level to open up a conversation to ask the appropriate questions to garner the information to create from there.

Like I said, I am going to watch the repeat of the episode.

I hate to take up for him, but I must ask this question... Did none of you see that that "sweet" --Much sarcasm there-- lady complained to Tim behind Jeffrey's back?? I heard her do that first and I am not defending J but I can see why he went off on her.. But I kinda think they almost deserved each other.. She likes to appear sweet and meek, but deep down she is complaining every minute.. I saw an expression in Angela's eyes a couple of times, but she said nothing.. I hated that red and black outfit.. so BLAH....
I liked the black dress with the b & w trim... Neat, that it was reversible.
I think the P R people sorta played a dirty trick.. Gave larger size models to work with and only 1 day where they had been having 2...Yes I saw how some of them had padded their dress forms trying to make it work.. I considered that a handicap to the ones with plus size women..

I liked the idea that they had to work with "regular" women, but I also believe they should have been given the 2 days they usually have. I was appalled at the way Jeffrey treated his model. When he was telling her she should try new colors, he could have said it much nicer, something like, "I know you said you want darker colors, but I really think this would look nice on you and would like to give it a try." Then the dress he made was horrible! Did you see the bottom of the placket on the front? It had a pleat or something that made it look like a badly fixed mistake! I hope he gets booted soon, he's really grating on my last nerve!

Remember the saying, "You catch more bees with honey than you do vinegar." I've learned this lesson from watching others (especially my dh, usually!) and I try to say things in a nice way because I may have to eat my words (which I have on occasion).

One thing I find very realistic is when the designers have to defend their outfits. Anyone having had a studio class will remember this procedure in front of all their classmates and how it could give knots in the stomach (especially when you think your own idea was weak, yet you have to sell your concept to everyone); whether it be drawing designs or designs in fabrics.

Kelly--I totally agree with you that J could've been more tactful as suggesting a different color and style. She struck me as a bit insecure just like J said but all things considered I still thought he was out of line. He may not like Angela but he was still disrespectful to her mother. I wonder how he would've felt had someone treated his mom like that.
As far as the winner, I think it may be between Michael and Uli..just my thoughts but of course, all things can change!!

Well, I'm glad that Angela is gone. She seemed out of her element. I know that it must have been disappointing to go to Paris only to have to turn around and leave. However, I cannot imagine why she thought her outfit was one of a "jetsetter". It also has surprised me that Jeffrey has won the last two challenges. I did think that his gown was nicely made but didn't think of it as "couture". Vincent just didn't get it and now he's gone. It will be very interesting to see who the final three are and what is the latest challenge. I surely thought that Kayne would do better than he did for the "couture" gown. The one he made for the "iconic fashion challenge" (Marilyn Monroe gown) looked more "couture" than what he made this time. Laura's clothing is boring. I think it will be between her and Kayne as to which one is cut next.
Happy Stitching!

I think the final three will be Jeffery, Uli, and Michael. And I really don't think any of these 3 are that good. I think last seasons final 3 where far better designers than what is left for this seasons.
Uli is with the braids like Laura is with the neckline and Angela is with those blasted rosettes!!! I am not a big Santino fan, but he has way more talent then any of this seasons remaining guys.

I'm glad he's gone for the same reason, he's so full of himself. I agree that Angela was out of her eliment, she has talent, but needs to practice more. Jeffery is just a pain in the ***! He's rude and obnoxious and personally I don't think he's that good, especially his "couture" gown, yellow plaid! get real! and the front was open so far it showed the model's crotch!
I really liked Kayne's gown because it wasn't the "same old thing". It has curve and design and style. I would have chosen a different color, but that one worked. I really didn't like Vincent's because the top looked like it needed reversed, and Laura's projects are just getting stale. I liked Uli's gown, but again I would have chosen a different color, and Michael's color was good, but the "bunny ears" weren't right and when they were tucked under it did make a huge improvement. The top looked a bit heavy, but it was still pretty.
I'm predicting that Laura will be the next to go because she's getting stale, and she should go home and take care of her pregnancy. Did you hear her mention that she's always tired and her feet are swelling up so much? Well, duh!!

I'm glad Vincent is gone also.. I think that Laura has shown us how much time lapses between the beginning and the end of a season of project Runway.. Laura said when she came in the beginning , she did not even know she was pregnant, and look at her now.. I wonder what they do with all the time in between taping for the shows..:bg: :bg:

Wow, Kelly! All I can say is BIG FAT DITTO. You saved me a lot of typing! lol Everything you said is what I was thinking.

Oh, as far as time passing in the filming; Laura just said on this last show that she's 3 months along. I've never seen anyone show that much for 3 months. It's either triplets or being out of shape. I know it's her sixth but still. I don't mean to be nasty.

I was disappointed in Michael. Amazing when the "bunny ears" were gone. You would have thought he would have checked that out himself. He seemed disappointed in himself. I'm still rooting for him. He, Uli, and Jeffrey and I hope it's not Jeffrey. He deserves credit for coming through hard times but he's still a pain.

Okay, what did y'all think???

What a surprise! What a reception Vincent and Angela got! Nasty. Did you catch those mud/gardening boots Angela wore with her weird little skirt?

Was hoping Jeffrey would go but thought Kayne deserved it. Poor guy, he's got heart.

Loved Laura's dress except for the fringe on the bottom. Poor lady, she's feeling those hormones.

Laura finally won a challenge. She was shocked but her dress looked real cute for a 20yr old. Bringing back Angela was a mistake because the only way she won her previous challenge was with help from Michael and Laura. Vincent tried but he just doesn't get women's fashion. Kayne was outed because he didn't follow the rules of the challenge. I liked the front of his dress and it would have been interesting had he tried color blocking. Jeffery's dress was hideous. Almost all of the designers except Michael seem predictable in what they make - Uli with her prints and "Miami-themed" halter dresses, Laura with her more mature outlook on clothing, and Jeffrey with his "rock and roll" costumes. It is fun to watch and cannot wait until next week.

Vincent lives on another PLANET!!! The man is not in touch with anything or anyone!!!
The only reason Angela won her challenge was because her team ( Laura & Michael ) carried the most weight. She needs to go back to the Farm Country of Southern Ohio and design for the tipped cows again.

I hope that Jeffery is the next to go. His ego is getting the better of him and it's making his mouth run in over drive. I don't like him or his "so-called" fashions. Santino is by far a better "edgy" designer than what Jeffery will ever dream of being. He's not designing fashion he's just trying to shock us with something crazy.

Uli, Laura and Michael are way to predictable with their designs, but I think Michael will walk away the winner. Does he deserve it? Sometimes I think yes and then sometimes I say no.

Hi all -

I made up my mind early in life to really, really abhore reality shows - I managed to keep that frame of mind going until about a month ago when Project Runway worked it's wiles on me.

Now, I'm hooked.

I was so surprised to see both Angela and Vincent come back. It was a good gimmick through - inviteing those who won a challenge to come back - but, did you all notice that Keith was not asked to come back? I really agree with the producers that because he so blatantly broke the rules he could not return.

I've never liked Angela's designs. While I can't stand Jeffrey and think his attitude is atrocious, he's right that she's not much more than an amatuer. (oh, it hurts to even type something which agrees with Jeffrey. After the way he treated Angela's mom and then in the next ep tried to re-write what really went down - grrrrrrr!!!!)

Vincent I just don't get. I thought his recycled design was truly garbage and at least Alison had a design and a dress - her sin was that she made her model look like a fat tamale - but it was a dress - I have no idea what Vincent's thing was. My neighbor's five year old can through confetti on glue and make it stick.

My fav is Michael - and I think Uli will be the next to go. Poor thing - you can take the girl out of Miami but you can't take... well, you get it.

I adored Kayne - even though I hated his jet-set outfit and even he knew he dropped the ball on the black and white challenge.

This is so much fun - I've put Season's one and two on my DVD holiday wish list to the spouse already.

I was so disappointed on Wednesday night when they had re-runs from Season 2. Maybe next week they will give the designers the final challenge. I know that all 4 of them - Laura, Uli, Michael and Jeffrey got to show their lines at Fashion week. Everyone except Michael was predictable. Loved his swimsuits.

Fashion week is when all of the invited designers show their lines in tents in Bryant Park (NYC). The Style channel on cable has this on. It comes on in September which shows the Spring looks and in March which shows the Fall looks. Designers traditionally design 6 months in advance of the season. I have always enjoyed watching it to find out what's "in" and what's "not". There are usually 3 types of designs - the runway look; the look for fashion journalists; and the consumer look. Different celebrities have comments on the styles. Interesting!

Thanks, Marty! I'll have to check to see if I get the Style Channel. Not that I'm a fashion diva but it would be fun to watch. I've heard the designers mention it a few times.

Was in N.Y.C. one time 3 years ago and stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel looking directly at the park which is behind the gorgeous huge library. What fun that was. That would help me enjoy the show even more.

Thanks again for the reply. Lennie

My favorite is Michael. I am not sure who I think will be the next to go. I am a bit tired of Laura. She's really starting to grate on my nerves for some reason. I do also think she's getting very tired however her cocktail dress was gorgeous! She has alot of talent-she truly does. Oh well--until next week! julie

I was just on the Bravo website and according to what I read, they made an announcement at sometime or other that this season , all 4 that are left are finalists.. Everyone was griping about missing the announcement.. I missed it, I know.. They have a little space there with mini photos, but I could not get them to work.. (like a slideshow, or just to enlarge each one, one at a time) .. I guess we are doomed to wait til next week..BUMMER ! !

I am happy to say that I was too tired to stay up this past Wednesday to watch figuring I'd catch the rerun, but everytime I look for it, I couldn't find it! I put off reading this thread because I didn't want to find out what happened before watching, so I am really glad that it wasn't on and I didn't miss it! According to BravoTV, this Wednesday is going to be the next episode, but it didn't say what it would be, just that it's episode #311 (the Black & White episode was #310). Somehow I will stay awake for it!

Strange episode last night. I was sorry Jeffrey wasn't booted. His dress wasn't anything special. Poor Michael was disappointing. Laura was same ol', same ol' but Uli was surprising. I really liked the dress and she really did deserve to win.

I guess next week is just "moments" and interviews with the contestants. Might be entertaining............

I'm getting back to this discussion way late -- I kind of wandered off for a while -- but I just have to say that the so-called "dress" that Jeffrey made for Angela's mom looked like a ratty old bathrobe that had been patched. Badly.

Why, why, why does he survive week after week? It was the same thing with Santino last season and with Wendy the season before that. Did you notice the little disclaimer that flashes at the end of the program? "When making their decision the judges consider both the judges' scores and comments from the producers." Or something like that. It flashes past so fast that I can't actually say what it says. I think they pick some jerk for the show, just to stir up trouble, and give him/her a free pass all the way to fashion week.

I would SO love to see Michael win the whole thing.

With all the back stabbing comments during the course of the show, this reunion should be pretty good!

Guess I didn't say what I meant.

I meant that in a show like tonight's we might all see a different side of folks. Some of them will start running at the mouth and say stuff the producers will just eat up.

Jeffrey and Angela getting into it is hardly a surprise but I'm curious to see it just the same.

I read on yahoo news this morning that there is some kind of investigation goin on with Jeffrey and the dresses he took to fashion week...saying he may have cheated!
Here is another article about it on E!

Last night's reunion show was very good. Keith just wouldn't accept responsibility that he broke the rules of the contract. He even said there was not any rules about pattern books in his contract. No one believed him as almost every other designer on the reunion show mentioned that it was in BOLD BLACK LETTERS. He gets no sympathy from me. I was so glad to see that Michael won the Fan's Favorite Award. He was so pleased to get the $10,000.00 check. Michael Kors and Nina Garcia had lots to say about the judging process. The out-takes were interesting especially Vincent's rant over how his laundry was done. :bang: Too childish in my opinion. Next week it will be Laura's claim that Jeffrey has cheated will be interesting. It supposedly comes when he arrives at Fashion week with no unsewn buttons or hems.

It was an interesting show but that Heidi is a snob, isn't she? I like the other "experts".

Keith is a brat, Jeffrey was quite restrained, Vincent is also a brat and I was thrilled too that Michael won the award. See, we like him here too. How fun if he wins.

I started watching this Milan's last show. I didn't realize what a character he is. Strange guy with a sad past. Didn't like Heidi mimicing him. That was just cruel but the outtakes were cute and he enjoyed them too.

Did anyone see The View today ( Friday 10-6 ) ? Michael Korrs and the Four Finalists where on with their
Winning Designs from this Season. Elizabeth came right out and asked both Laura and Jeffery about the controversy on next weeks show. They both danced around it, like they where told to do.
Guess Laura had a "Get Together" at her House last night with all of them.
Oh yeah, she is due in November. So this started filming in March.

Thanks for the warning. Haven't decided whether I want to look or not.

I liked last night's episode. Liked seeing how each one of them lived. Interesting that they were so geographically spread out.

Laura is interesting. She seems so much the career woman type and not at all the mommy type. Unusual apt. too. Tim was a good sport re: the turtle poop. lol

I know...Tim's "eeewwww" was so cute!

I'm a little disappointed that Laura did an entire evening gown collection. I think Tim warned her against going all evening. It doesn't show that she has any range.

But who knows, maybe even if she doesn't win she can start a line of evening wear. Austin from the first season designs wedding gowns, and Nick from last year is designing a line of prom dresses.

In my opinion, Laura is just being "witchy". She probably didn't get as much done as the others since her sewing studio is in the main part of her home. That plus her children can be a big distraction. Michael's sewing room is very small and he uses his living room to store his dressform. I do too because I don't have a sewing studio. On the other hand, Jeffery rents a separate building for his studio and it is fully stocked with supplies. He told Tim Gunn that he barely slept 3 hours a day/night while working on his collection. Since he already has a line of clothing, it is not surprising to me that he could get all 12 pieces finished. With LA having a large population of models, actresses, etc, finding someone to try on the fit is not impossible. I liked some of his collection. Uli also rents space for her sewing studio but it did not seem to be as large as Jeffery's. All of them showed at Fashion Week (was on the Style channel in September) so I don't think there was anything to the rumor that Laura started. Out of all of the collections, I think Michael's was the most versatile and really showed a great range of designs.
Happy Stitching!

It was stated during the Reunion show that Malan had also shown a collection during Fashion Week. Did I mishear that?

I looked for his name under the designers that showed and didn't find it. Was I dreaming that or could he have shown under another designer's name? BJ in Iowa

To me, each of the designers are talented. They just were eliminated on one piece of work not their whole range of style. Malan's a good example. I'm a diehard fan of the show and follow along with the blogs and what happens afterwards. I love watching the reruns as I always learn something new. How did you like Jay MacCarroll's work? He won Season 1 of Project Runway and also showed in Bryant Park during Fashion Week. I have not checked for Chloe Dao's collection yet. She won Season 2. Both Jay and Chloe think that Michael Knight will win and I hope that they are right.

I did like some of Jay's things. I really liked his color block pieces. (Not sure that is the correct interpretation of his pieces.) The ones that had small colored squares.

I can't remember if I saw Chloe's collection. There were so many designers showing! I never paid much attention to 'high fashion' before I started watching PR.

I usually don't agree with the judges and find it interesting that the public rating of the weekly designs agrees with ME and not the judges.

Looking at all of the Project Designers' collections that showed at Fashion Week, I still like Daniel Vosovic and Chloe Dao from Season 2. For Season 3, I loved Michael Knight's collection. Uli's collection looked like it would only work in the tropics. Laura's collection was OK but nothing that I haven't seen before in a Vogue or Butterick pattern book. Jeffrey's collection is way too young for me but my teenage DD likes it. Truly, I hope that Michael Knight will win. After all, he was the "fans favorite designer". Even folks like Santino Rice and Kara Janz from Season 2 showed at Fashion week. I've signed up for a newsletter to keep up with all of the fashion trends. I'm not a designer but love looking at what others think will sell in the next season.

I think Laura is being witchy too. I liked her OK at the beginning but I really don't care for her now. I just don't think she's trustworthy at all! I think she does though have talent with her dresses. You have to admit, some of the stuff she's done has looked very classy.
I am still pulling for Michael. I think they are all talented but I like Michael's designs the best. Cannot WAIT until Wednesday!

I watched the show with Tim visiting all the finalists and I was in awe of Laura being able to get done what she had with four little boys (a pet turtle) and being very pregnant. Also, she isn't exactly young - 42 yrs old.

Michael and Uli thought the same as Laura, it is just Laura voiced her doubts to Tim. Reality TV is not reality, it is just snippits of tape pieced together projecting a view of the producers or a catch to keep the viewers interested.

I think Laura voicing her opinion was only fair as they had already had someone removed for not following the rules. Wouldn't it look terrible if Jeffrey won and then all the other contestants voiced their fears - then it would look like they were poor losers.

My favorite is Michael - I hope that he goes far.

Tonight's the finale for Season 3 of Project Runway. I sure hope that Michael wins. Out of the four on the runway, I liked his look the best. I get fashion alerts from NY magazine (free email) on what's happening in the fashion world. Lots of positive statements about Uli and not so favorable comments on Jeffrey. I did appreciate the comments that sewing takes talent, skill and lots of dedicated work. I applaud anyone who is on the Project Runway show as it really gives an "inside" look at sewing. Happy Stitching!

I was disappointed with Michael's Collection. I didn't see any of what he brought on the first 6 weeks of the show. Laura's was okay if you are dressing the "Money Women" in the world. You knew before you even saw her collection how it was going to be. Uli's was the best all around designs for the everyday women. I thought she showed some "new" directions for herself. Jeffery, don't even go there...... I still think he had more than just "pleating" help with his collection, and then to be OVER BUDGET by $250+!!!! Give me a break.

I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with who was named the "Winner"

I was SO surprised at the winner. I didn't believe that Jeffrey had help because when Tim had checked in with him after the first 6 weeks, his collection was almost finished because he showed all 12 pieces to Tim at the time. If Tim thought that he had outsourced the work, he would have addressed the issue then. There was no question until Laura mentioned it and then I was disappointed to see Michael "jump" on the bandwagon. Uli truly believed he was innocent which he was.

Jeffrey is one of those who can sew for hours straight on end when the conditions are right like having your own studio, supplies and can work without interruptions. Also, he already has a line of clothing and the experience to produce volume as well as being imaginative. When he shipped those wigs back, he was $400 under budget. By the way, I hated those wigs. Jeffrey also showed that he could sew beautifully when he made the skirt within 1 day of the runway show as a last minute piece since he didn't have the receipt fot the pleated shorts. I wouldn't wear his clothing as it is too youthful to me. My teenage DD did not care for his clothing either as it was "too out there" for her taste.

Laura is too one sided. I would not have enjoyed wearing anything from her collection because it was all evening wear. If one lives in an area that is on the social party circuit, I see where her clothes would work. However, for the average person, there was not any versatility to her collection. Her only experience was sewing for herself. She does produce lovely tailored garments but ignored showing some of those pieces in the final collection. Also, I was concerned when she drank so much during her pregnancy. That does not inspire confidence in her work.

Uli's collection was beautiful but only as resort wear. I cannot imagine wearing anything in her collection either unless one lives in the beach area or in a resort community. Again, it was too youthful for my taste.

Michael's collection showed the most versatility of the four in my opinion. He had some beautiful pieces but it wasn't a very cohesive collection to win the show. He was the fan favorite. Until he sided with Laura against Jeffrey, I thought he had a lot of common sense and the integrity not to play games. I was disappointed.

Now, I'm looking forward to Season 4. I loved the NY magazine's take on the contestants and how the show truly depicts New Yorkers as a whole. My DD thought that most New Yorkers were either too dramatic and theatrical or rude when she visited NYC this summer. She thought the entire city was focused on clothes, shopping and clubs. It made quite an impression that wasn't so favorable.

Happy Stitching!

Hey everyone! I just got done watching the finale, I was disapointed that it was Jeffery. His work is very well put together and modern, but his attitude is just nasty. I liked how Micheal had a large variety of color and designs in his collection. Uli's was cute, but sort of her same ol same ol. I do feel that...um I forgot her name, but the other lady ;) her collection was very elegant, she had a great collection herself but sort have seemed very simular.
Don't get me wrong I think they all deserved to be the top 4 but I felt that Micheal should have won, just from his past challenges!
Hehe so their are my little inputs :) bye guys!

I was suprised by the outcome but I can see how they liked some of his things....

The first 3 outfits that jefferys models were wearing, I adored the other ones were a little far out there for me but for the most part, I like his stuff....now HIS wardrobe....yuck...he cant dress hisself at all......

I thought Ulis bathing suit that looked like a gown was AMAZING....oh and her main models dress...the green one...VERY pretty.

Laura...EW! I think just about everything on her line was UGLY.....or it looked like it should sprout wings and fly away. I thought she would put out some elegant pieces like in the past, but I wasnt impressed with her collection at all....

Michael, he has so much talent, but I didnt think that he really showed it last night. His main models dress was pretty, but I wasnt a fan of the lace up grommet tops......I think it looked cheap. I loved his coffee filter dress....how amazing was that??

Wow! I'm blown away by the differing opinions here on the board! So interesting. Here's my take;

I wanted so badly for Michael to win but I was disappointed in what he brought to the show.

I thought Uli's stuff was boring.

I really enjoyed Laura's collection. There were some outrageously beautiful details.

I think Jeffrey deserved to win. He did an outstanding job. The fact that he's a jerk doesn't come into it. He's just a talented jerk! :bg:

I don't look at these clothes and think, would I wear that? I just look at the creativity behind it and it's appeal. The judges have to have their criteria, I don't. :bg:

I too was a bit disappointed with Michael. I had been so excited to see what he had walking down the runway and even though I thought his line was very nice, I thought it could have been better. I think he had too many lace up grommet tops. He has alot of talent and I think he'll do very well but I was sort of disappointed last night.
Laura's dresses were exquisite but they were all dresses. You have to admit she does really beautiful needlework. I have always said she is very attentive to detail and loves to sew by hand apparently. I think she also looked stressed towards the end also. I think being pregnant and having all those kids she pulled off a gorgeous line. I have noticed towards the ends of each episode especially the last few that she looked tireder and tireder and I also noticed some droop on one side of her mouth--may be a camera glitch but I wonder if she has some bells palsy. If that is the case, she really did well. I didn't notice the droop until it seemed the episode was over and again, especially towards the end. As far as the Jefferey scandal, I was pretty ticked with her for saying all of that BUT I did think she was right in telling him up front. I didn't really feel like he did anything that was out of the boundaries for the rules. He just struck me as one of those "work until you finish" type people. I doubt he has a lot of UFO's lying around. He does produce nice garmets but I am not the biggest fan of his runway collection for olympus fashion week. It was nice and I did really like his main dress (the green striped.) It was really pretty and I really liked the first one that came down the runway-the red one.
Uli does pretty work to me and I think she did a phenomenal job on her swimwear. I think she also did try to work out of the box that she usually is in somewhat.
When it got down to her and Jefferey, I was pretty sure that she'd be the winner and I have to admit that I was surprised. I will be interested to see what all of them end up doing!
Anybody watch Top Chef after the finale? Gotta have something to watch on Wednesday evenings now!!

Like most of the others, I was hoping Michael would win ... but ... his collection left a lot to be desired. Some of his stuff was nice, but he seemed to steer more toward, how do I say this without sounding racist?, his culture and not toward the general public.

Laura's things were elegant, but again, not for the everyday woman. Very good work on them considering her condition and the conditions she had to work under.

Uli things were a lot of the same old thing, but there was an attempt to break out of the box.

I hate to say this, but I liked most of Jeffrey's collection, especially the green striped number with the zippers. I probably wouldn't wear any myself, but I can see my teenage daughter in them. I can't stand Jeffrey, but you have to admit he does have talent and imagination, which the other designers seemed to be lacking for their collections.

He surprised me how much of a family man he is, if they hadn't brought that into the program, I never would have imagined it. I guess you can't judge a book by its cover ... or its "I'm better than you" attitude.

I think that Laura was correct in bringing the out-sourcing issue to Tim. As it was mentioned before, better to bring it up ahead of time and have it proved false than not to say something and everyone thinking he cheated to win. I'm actually glad that he won fair & square. Normally I like the underdog, but this time it was hard for me!

No, I didn't watch the chef show afterward ... had to go to bed to get up early. I might try to catch a show or two and check it out.
