I want to make a mug sack for taking my own mug to meetings. I know I can spend the time to come up with a pattern on my own, but thought that someone may already have or be able to direct me to an existing one. I'm thinking that if I start now I may even have it ready for the fall when activities start up again. |

Magot: What about the handle? Would you do a slit/buttonhole on the opposite side from the velcro or would you have the velcro hook under the handle with cutouts for the top/bottom of it? |

You are right, that is for cans and bottles - I would adapt it so that the velcro does up through the handle so need to do some mug measuring. Make a pattern out of a piece of paper and sellotape it together to see if it fits OK

Would a mug sack be something like a mini-tote bag for carrying the mug??? I'd just try making a small totebag just large enough for the mug to fit in and I'd put on a shoulder strap....would make it easier to carry, I think. I would probably add a piece of velcro as a closure to prevent the mug from falling out.
