Very pretty scarf! You are doing great!! I'd probably knit again with all the new yarns out if I could remember from project to project how to cast on! LOL

Well done Jen, once you have mastered purl a HUGE amount of patterns open up to you. What were the bamboo needles like to knit on - I have heard they are the best but my needle supply is so old they weren't available when I was stocking up.

I love knitting with the bamboo needles. They feel so nice in your hands and make a lovely musical clicking noise when you knit.
It makes knitting wonderful to the senses. :bg:

The noise I make when knitting is what drives my husband barmy. He likes to watch TV or a DVD and enjoy the full sound experience, I like to knit at the same time - I am sure you cannot hear the sound of my needles over the explosions but he thinks you can. :bolt:

ROFL!!! :dave:
You crack me up!!!!

Jen

PS: Thanks again, for the sweet compliments.
Today I begin the final scarf, and it is for my daughter, Sunny.
Hers will be extra special, because she picked 2 colors, and if all goes well today, it will have pearling as well as knitting. :bg:

Isn't purling knitting backwards?

No, Dorothy--
that would be:
gnilrup!!! LOL! Knitting backwards is: gnittink

I think so, but since instruction is free at open knit, and I am an extremely visual learner, (ie: a little slow on the uptake); I figure I will leave it to the professional to teach me.

esrun3 here's a link that I use when I start a new knitting project. I also can't remember how to cast on from one project to another.
