At almost seven feet tall the piece is not done in a traditional artistic medium; it is a quilt.

The reporter's ignorance is showing.
What is more traditional or more artistic than a quilt?
It's just not "a traditional artistic medium" because it has traditionally been done by women.
Good story though.
