I joined a quilting guild, taught my dd to quilt, and my mil who loves to quilt is moving in (with fil) to the house directly behind ours, so I figure I will be doing ALOT of quilting in the coming years. DH has approved the purchase of the little gracie quilting frame after our tax refund in Feb. Will there be major advantages (ie to justify the expense) having a frame like this??? Here is a picture of it: http://cgi.ebay.com/Grace-Little-Gracie-Quilting-Quilt-Quilter-Frame-Frames_W0QQitemZ330007969340QQihZ014QQcategoryZ191 61QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotoh osting **I plan to buy it at my dealer, not on ebay** What do y'all think? The part of quilting that is most frustrating to me is trying to get it all up under my machine--all that bulk is a pain! Thanks for your thoughts! Jen |

Jen, I've never had the chance to use this kind of set-up, so I couldn't give you any feedback. I struggle with fabric under the arm of the machine with big quilts and have a set-up of the ironing board and chairs around my work area to support the quilt as I'm machine quilting. When you get it, I can't wait to hear how it works for you. Out of curiosity....where are you going to set this up in your house? How nice to have other family members around that share your interests and glad to hear you joined a guild. Patty

There was a post quite a while ago where sewbusy said that she had the little gracie and didn't like it. Maybe if you contact her she can fill you in as to what her issue were with it. Here is that post http://sew-whats-new.com/vb/showthread.php?p=144459#post144459 TTFN from

Thank you for the link, Judee. If I purchase it, I will put it in my great room where my sewing machines are all set up, along with dh's computer. The TV will have to move a bit--lol!!! Jen |
