Hello,
I am new to the forum. I have to say I love reading everything and I have learned a few things about sewing too. I hope one day I can be able to help others too. I have a 8 year old daughter and a 2 year old God daughter that I sew for. Mostly for fun. I watched my Mother sew when I was little. She passed away when I was 12 yrs old. I only hope I can pass the joy of sewing to my daughter.
I just wanted to say hello and hope to post pictures soon of some outfits I have done.....
Take care,
NCdebra

Welcome from the Canadian contingent, Debra! I am sure you will learn and teach a lot here. It is one of the best forums I have found.

Debra,
when I was a child, my paternal grandparents lived a couple of miles outside Nashville.. We used to love to come over that way..My Grandfather took my brother and I swimming in either Rocky Mount or Wilson to a pool that had lights on the sides under the water line, and we went night swimming.. We thought that was an awesome thing to do...I used to love to go there in summertime because the farm workers let us help "string tobacco".. We were city kids and thought getting to do farm work was great fun.. The kids that lived there thought we were crazy , of course.. That has been eons ago, of course.. in the 40's .. Kay Kyser's dad still had the drugstore in those days..LOL
