I know that some of you have mentioned putting thread into the freezer for 24 hours to see if it stops it from shredding, but I am wondering, is it a good idea to keep your thread in the freezer all the time?? Or even in the fridge?? I have some other thread that I tried to use today that shredded horribly, and I'd been embroidering all afternoon with no problems at all. I am going to go by some metafil needles tomorrow but I was wondering about the thread as well.

I have read somewhere about putting wonder tape on the edge of the hoop to help fabric from slipping in the hoop, but I don't know if I put it on the inside of the outer hoop or the outside of the inner hoop. Anyone know anything?

When I was first advised of this tip of putting the thread in the freezer overnight I was told it was not good to leave it for long periods. I don't remember what the reason was or even if one was given. I have a customer that says she keeps all her thread in the fridge all the time and has for years. Hows that for no answer to your question? All I know for sure is that if you put it in the freezer overnight it does rejuvenate it.
Have fun or don't do it, Tom
