:bang: Sometimes I feel as if I should never sew another thing....
I was sewing another little bag for my niece and of course I forgot to add a piece of thin batting between the layers (fabric, batting, liner). And the funny thing was the whole time doing it I was like....I feel something is missing.... I have gone back (I love the seam ripper... :bg: ) and fixed it...kinda.
Do you guys ever have bad days?????

Oh my goodness, YES!

I am known as the Queen of Bad Luck by people around me - I however, do not belive in luck.

Somedays I just want to rip my hair out - or scream at someone, lol.

This too, shall pass.

Debra,
Hi - I haven't posted on here for months. But your message hit me. We all have bad days - speaking for myself, what I've found is that usually I learn the most on the worst days. So, I'm proud of you that you went back and finished the project, because you could have thrown it in the unfinished pile, or started from the beginning again. You should be pleased with yourself.

Take a deep breath and know that we've all been through the same thing.

Thanks for all the kind words.
My day is alot better now.
I did learn one thing......to always add my batting before sewing it up.
My husband came home for lunch and I was telling him about it and he laughed and said " I bet you want forget it next time"...

Remember -- A bad day in the sewing room is still better than a good day outside it.

I like it this way too -

A bad day in the sewing room, is better than a good day stuck at work!

A hearty "Amen!" to Dorothy's comment!

I like the way you said it, too, Butterfly.

We all have bad days. And we all have bad days in the sewing room--that's why they invented seam rippers! :dave:

Yesterday, I almost had to do a lot of un-sewing, but somehow, by some miracle, I decided to get up and read the directions before finishing pinning. Thank goodness I did, because I was doing it all wrong! I'm making a bib type apron with ruffles on the shoulder straps, and that part is a little tricky. The last time I worked with this pattern I had to un-sew several times, so I'm grateful that I didn't do that---yesterday. Today is a whole new day!

Debra.....

Do we ever have bad days? :throw: Bwhahahahaha Sure, we all have had bad days, along with sad, or lonely, however, they are tempered with really great days. Those really crappy days make us appreciate the good ones even more.

Good for you for gaining composure, firmly gripping the seam ripper and reworking the project. Many happy sewing days are in your future because you have the ability to rework projects to your satisfaction rather than an easy fix of tossing 'em.

Dorothy's got it right ....right to the point, and a point could be call a Dot. Hmmmmmmm we're on to something here............ Dot=Dorothy. Hey Dorothy, anyone ever nick name you Dot?

At least you are having time to sew. My new ruffler came in and it has been weeks since I touched my machine. I would love to get 5 minutes to unsew than do everything else I have been doing. I have a pair of pants to mend for my MIL and they have just sat there tuanting me. Nah nah nah nah nah you are too busy!! So like the rest of them said a bad day of sewing is better than a good day at work!!

Oh and then there are those time that I have several bad days in a row! And that puts me in a sewing slump for a while because I can't understand why I can make stupid mistakes or why I didn't see that a certain pattern and/or fit wasn't going to work  But clear heads & my love for it always makes me come back
