I dont that any one remembers me talking about the outfit I made out of my hubbies old pants and flannel shirt, but I finally got a pic of it so I thought I would share.

I have had to put alot of stuff on ebay because my computer/sewing room are turning into a nursery and I tended to store stuff in there for no good reason, LOL. Anyways it is way cute for being recycled!

Very nice. I always have trouble seeing something that is already made as something else. My DD changes things all the time. I wish I was that creative!

That's a cute outfit, very creative. You mentioned you sell on eBay, could I ask what is your experience there? I just joined last month, trying to find a venue for my handsewn items. I'm not able to do craft or flea markets, & sew when I'm able to. I've sold some aprons I made, & now I'm doing bridal garters. Do your clothes sell well there? I'm considering opening a store when I have enough inventory, but they are increasing the fees next month, & lots of store owners are closing. Thanks for any info, Elly

Elly, Selling hand made items can be tricky on ebay. Everything I have listed this time I just started at .99 to clean out the closet of mine, but I would tell you honestly I start them most of the time at what they cost to make roughly. I have had a few two piece outfits go as high as $40 and then stuff like sundress' stay at the starting price. If you have something unique and there is a real desire for it then I say open a store, but (i dont want this to sound snotty) if its just the same old stuff (like what I normally do) then just list them under auctions.

Most people are turned off by reserves (I know I am) and more will look if theres a gallery picture that they can scan acrossed while surfing....Especially if its a bright and inviting picture! I cant tell you how many things I have "run across" and bought just browsing the site.

If you have any questions please PM me and I will give you my email and help you through it.

I love ebay!! But its much like walmart as far as the economy goes.

Stephi--that outfit is adorable! I love the zig-zag detail around the bottom of the top!! Great work!!
I love ebay too. I've been decluttering and trying to trim down all the outgrown clothes of Sarah's and have done fairly well. Text books go really quick too. I sold all but one of the one's I added. Most were Al's school books and were not the most current edition..nor was the nursing book I sold. I don't have time for a yard sale although I love to shop them!
I haven't put any of my bags on there but I have good intentions of doing so when I can get some made and put on there. The 2 I had made (baby themed) I used as gifts for 2 friends--one who just had a baby and one who is expecting. I stuffed them with baby goodies and used them as the "gift bag." They were a big hit! Luckily, I had a girl and a boy themed bag and one friend had a girl and the other is expecting a boy!! Worked out just perfectly!

BTW--Stephi, how are you doing?

Hey Julie
Things are getting better here. The nasea seems to be where I can eat through it. I have lost 7 pounds since getting preggers though!! My doctor wasnt worried because of how yuckie I have felt....OK and I was still carrying some baby weight from Ella, LOL!! But my old pants still fit and the heart beat is fast, 180's so it may be a girl....or it could be a boy?! ONly 28 weeks to go and I just cant wait!

Thanks for asking. Hows the move going?

HI--glad to hear you are feeling better!! So--the big question is do you want a boy or girl?? 180 is a good heart rate!!
I lost weight in the beginning when I was pregnant w/Sarah as well..trust me you'll pick it back up!

I think I made up for it this weekend. I felt so good and no nasea so I ate what ever came near me!! I would like a girl but Hubbie wants a boy. I am pretty sure my D is going to be a linebacker anyway but thats not good enough for DH. I just want to make dresses that match.
