Whew, what a crazy month this has been!! Yesterday was our first month being in the new house in FL.
My job starts at 6:30am (operating room) and goes till 3pm. Work is going well. There are some things I remember from when I used to work in the O.R. but there are also so many new ways to do certain procedures. My only problem is getting up a little before 5am! I'm a night owl (well, I used to be a night owl - lol).
I've already fired one nanny so far - she was a NO-SHOW for two days in a row and I'm still on probation at the hospital! But I found someone new (a grandma type) who will be coming in at 5:30am (I'll be leaving for work shortly after that) and she will get my dd up and bring her to daycare. The lunch is supplied at daycare and my dd seems to like the new school (there's all girls in her group - the poor teacher with all that estrogen!)
We're limping along with potty training - she's getting better at letting us know when she has to go and today she stayed dry all day - that was a major triumph.
It'll take me a little while to catch up on all that's going on at SWN but I'll try to get on-line for a little bit a couple of nights a week.
I get a portion of my sign-on bonus after probation is finished (90 days) and I may start looking at a basic-type embroidery machine. I didn't realize that I would be going to bed so early - it'd be crazy to spend alot of $$$ on a machine that I wouldn't be able to use often since I may only be able to spend an hour two or three nights a week. I won't go the Wal-Mart or on-line vendor route but I may have to scale down my "wish list". Maybe if I wait and save up I'll be able to be a little closer to having some of the extras since I get another installment of my sign-on bonus at my six-month mark.
I have a zillion things to do tonight but I wanted to say, "Hi" to everyone and that it's good to be back. :bg:

eeek....being a night person myself I know how hard it is to be a day person for a job...(used to work in a bakery at 6:30 am). I always reverted on my days off...(staying up till 1-2 and sleeping till noon, if I was lucky) then the day I went back to work I was always short on sleep...oh well...
I hope the new 'nanny' works out. ( some people here in FL don't have much of a work ethic, if they live near the water...and NO I DON'T want to hear from other people here in FL who disagree...I've lived here for 10 yrs, NEAR the ocean/gulf..I've seen the 'work ethic' in action....I said 'some' people).

At least you work in a/c and there aren't bugs in the hospital. ( I hope  )

Welcome back Maureen,
Sounds like you life has been in the super busy lane. Glad you are settled in and things are starting to fall into a routine. Good luck with getting that one good nanny, has to be rough on you.
