Try this site and see if it will help with getting a manual.
I have a Kenmore, but very rarely use the deco stitches since I have a Embroidery machine. I will try and find my manual and see what I can remember and PM you.

Just lift up the little door where it shows the decorative stitches. There are blue numbers beneath them. The blue are for the decorative stitches, the red are for the block alphabet, and the green are for the script alphabet.
You will push the blue 01-96 button and then select the stitch using the number pad below.
For example, you want to use the * design.
You would press the blue 01-96 button
and then press enter 39 using the buttons on the key pad.
(the * symbol should now appear on your lcd screen)

Then if you want to use the block alphabet, you would push the red 01-67 button and then select your upper or lower case letter by pushing the corresponding numbers on the key pad.
For example you want to spell out Ant.
You would hit the red 01-67 button, and then press
11 (a upper case A should appear on your lcd screen)
50 (lower case n)
56 (lower case t)

67 is your space key for use between words.

Use the script alphabet in the same manner. Just select the green 01-67 button first.

Then when you are ready to continue with general sewing, scroll thru using the button until the little yellow light by the word "direct" is lit.

Hope this helps.
Any other questions, feel free to ask :bg:
It really is a GREAT machine.

Happy sewing!
Jen
