Love all the outfits! Boy, have you been busy. Your little angel is adorable too. Sewing can become addictive! The more you make, the more you want to make! :whacky:
Thanks for sharing

Yes. It is addictive. Every time I make something I get another idea. I am having a good time making clothes. I have made quilts for years but I have to admit that I like the instant gratification I can get from little outfits that I can make in a weekend.

Ellie has such a good time picking out fabric. She is funny. She is only 3 years old but she will hold fabric up together and say "I like this with this one." I have a little designer in the making.

Christina, I laughed out loud reading your reply. I used to make quilts too. I have made King size to crib size for all my family. Then I made crib ones and sold them on E-Bay for next to nothing. Thank goodness, I love to sew and that is the main thing. Then I found I could make little girls clothes in 1/10 the time and get instant gratification as you said. My hubby just laughs when I come back from the fabric store with more material and notions. He says my little sewing business is most definately a non-profit one. :bg:

Ellie is a little Angel. I love her name. I am a sucker for little red heads too.
I have 3 grand daughters and the 15 month old is just like Ellie. It is so nice to have a real girly little girl.

Molly,

My other daughter's name is Mollie. Ellie's is Eleanor... but we call her Ellie. I always think of Ellie as a tough old broad living in a girlie girl's body. She is so feminine and girlie and yet fearless and active with attitude. She knows what she likes and no one is going to tell her any different. If she feels like going to the grocery store with swimming goggles on because they are pink and they match her purse... well... that is what she is going to do! Who am I to cramp her style?

How are you doing with selling on eBay?. I have thought about it but there is so much I don't know about running a business. I worry that some crazy person will sue me and get my house because their kid choked on a thread I didn't snip or something. Also, a lot of patterns say "for personal use only". How do they know if you are using their pattern if it is just a basic dress? I look on eBay and I don't get how some things are selling for $90 and others maybe $15. One of these days I'll have to dive in and give it a try. Until then Ellie will get lots of cute clothes :)

Picture me ROFL. I can just see Ellie wearing the pink googles to the market! Her attitude and sponk came through in your pics of her. I love that you don't cramp her style too.
I have always liked my name. Does your Mollie like hers and is it short for anything? Mine is short for Mary Elizabeth.
I never thought about all you said re: selling on E-bay. Yikes! Now, I am thinking up all kinds of scary things. I am one of those sellers whose items go for $15 not $90. I can't figure out why either. :nc: Everyone who has bought from me ays I do beautiful work. Oh well......it's just another of life's mysteries.

:) LOL... Not sure if Mollie likes her name or not. Not like she has much choice at this point. No it isn't short for anything...Just Mollie Rae. Mollie is 14. She has never said anything about her name. She is disabled so developmentally she is about 3-5. I doubt she has given her name a second thought.

Yeah... I just don't get how some items on eBay sell for so much. Good for them I guess. The only difference I see is that they seem to market their items very well. They have nice pictures and nice layouts and the wording sounds professional. I keep thinking I should just dive in and give it a try.

Today Ellie and i went to JoAnn's and she picked out some fabric. Not sure what i'll do with it yet but she loves the fabric so I am sure she'll like the clothes. :bang: If I could figure out how to resize the picture i would post a picture of her with her fabric.

Okay... lets see if I figured out how to post a picture :bluesmile

This is Ellie with the fabric she picked out at JoAnn's. She LOVES polka-dots!

Ellie has very good taste. I totally love her fabric choices. I can't wait to see her in her "to die for" new outfit. She will definitely be the hit around the pool or at school. I went to Joann's Fabric store 3 days ago and bought some fabric with cats on it and pink and white poka dots on the other one. Are those cats on her other fabric? If so, boy do we think alike!
Yep, when children are the age of 3 to 5 I don't think they care much about their name. Now I am curious so I am going to ask my 4, 6, and 3 1/2 year old grand children if they like their names. Ethan, who is the 3 1/2 year old, probably will just give me a look or if he answers I will not understand him. :nc: He is slightly austistic.
I sold all three of my listings yesterday so I am going to be sewing like crazy as soon as I get the sizes. I will have to see about making mine more professional looking and see if that helps. I'll try anything! :bg:
Can't wait to see Ellie's new outfit.

Christina -
Do you mind me asking whose pattern you used for the very pretty brown/pink outfit? My dd is 3 (going on 24) and would love something like that! It's soooo hot here in the daytime that I may convert the pants to a pair of shorts.
Thank you!!
- Maureen.

Maureen,

The pink and brown dots outfit is the Sew Baby reversible sundress. I just made the pants to go with it. The pattern comes with blumers but ellie likes pants. It is very easy. I am going to make another one but try it without buttons so she can just slip it over her head. It is hot where we live too (Southern CA) .... a few weeks ago it was well over 110 for about 2 weeks.... yuck... I thought it would never cool off.

Chrisitna

BTW.... Ellie is 3 going on 24 as well....lol... I am glad to hear she is not the only one.
