As related in the thread "Now I remember why I don't sew more often," I've been having problems lately trying to sew in invisible zippers. But now a zipper that I did NOT install has rebelled against me! Last night I tried to take off my skirt. It's a very pretty skirt, and it was a gift from a dear friend, so I really love it. The zipper would only go down about 3 inches. I'd never had a problem with it before, and it would go right back up and down with no problem, but would not budge past that 3-inch-down spot. I finally had to pull the skirt off over my head, and, believe me, had the zipper stuck any higher, I'd still be wearing that skirt. And it probably wouldn't look too great after I'd slept in it either. How can I fix this zipper? Any suggestions? I looked carefully and there's no threads or anything caught in it. Sparky

Get a magnifying glass out and look very carefully at the teeth of the zipper around the spot it is hanging up.. I bet you will find a kink or snag or broken piece, something to cause the hang-up.. See if you can fix it with sharp pointed tweezers.. That is what I do, when something like that happens/..

Sparky -- I think you should concentrate on fixing your zipper karma. Dorothy Well, YEAH! But how? What did I ever do to those zippers? Did I harm them in a previous life? I'm sorry, all right?! C'mon zippers, forgive me. Sparky
