go visit my sister (finally)...I haven't been able to see her for over 3 yrs, due to sick and dying ferrets. (cross yer fingers everyone) I get to fly to OR and escape the heat here...(for a few days). I'll be arriving on her birthday Sept. 27th and comming home on Oct. 2nd. ( I don't like to wear out my welcome.)
I REALLY NEED to get away from HERE....
It's not that I don't love my ferrets, my home and everything...but we all need a break once-in-awhile.....besides which I get to see my sisters first 'home'...she bought a condo this yr...and I love OR...the way it smells (like pine trees), the way it feels, (like theres all the time in the world), and everyone is nice...
Besides which I love my sister to death...I wish we lived closer so I could see her more....she was my baby when she was born and has always been 'mine'.

Yay me !!!!!!!!!!!!

Lucky you with a nice vacation to look forward to! I just got back from CO so can relate with the smells/feelings. I agree, even a few days away from home can be very restful and it helps you get to see your sister too! I'm happy for you......have a great time!

Chrys...enjoy your mental health break.....and your visit with your sister. I think we all need to do this from time to time. It really does help, as long as the trip & visit isn't stressful. Enjoy every minute of time with your sister!
